the most fun part of kids movies is that in almost all of them there is some humor ONLY more sophisticated minds can understand, as EVERYONE knows alice in wonderland is one of those, if u haven't seen that do. if u have and dont mind reading subtitles amelie (french) is one of the funniest/underappreciated movies of all time, on top of that it is a 2 dvd set and you can "borrow" one of them, while returning the other, without them ever knowing

If you want scary, rent Rose Red. Based off a stephen king book I believe.

I was watching the Matrix reloaded the other day and I was stoned and suddenly, I COMPLETELY UNDERSTTOD THE ENTIRE TRILIOGY. I'm usually to baked to even follow most movies when I'm stoned but I'd seen the matrix a lot but never stoned. and suddenly, I understood how everything all worked. It's like usually, you have to arrive to conclusion based on logic and taking in all the facts and then spitting out the logical conclusion. Well, for some reason it felt like I had bypassed all of that hard work and just kind of, arrived at enlightenment. It was really cool. And I know it wasn't one of my bullshit conclusions based on what I think rather than the reality because I was trying to explain the movie's meaning to my brother and he was like "yea, that totally makes sense." I've decided the next movie I'm going to try this on is 7th samuri, since it brings up a lot of philisophical points as well.

Dream for a requiem is awesome too.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas if you haven't seen it already.

Theres a lot of good movies out there, its hard to recommend them though since I have no clue what you've seen before.

Yeah I just watched the Butterfly Effect today and that was pretty cool.
