I am flowering my plants, and I was wondering if i could increase the length of the day (light period) while retaining the 12 hours of darkness. Would this hinder flowering?

It's in my closet, and I make the "sun" rise and set whenever I please. So yes, I am Jesus of my closet.

Increase the day period? Yep, use more light, not more time.

And the Lord said: Let there be light. And there was light.
Amen.

you all shouldnt make fun of him if u dont know what u are talking about, the way to get the most light to your plants while still flowering is to have a 24 hour 7 day timer and set it up so your plants are at 21 hours 36 minutes of light and 12 hours dark......

your plant will take quite a bit longer to flower but the yeild will be a lot bigger

so u all just got owned and if u dont believe me then look at the page on one of the best grow FAQs ever http://www.drugs-forum.com/growfaq/607.htm

ok, now that i've read that article, i'm scratching my head... if this process was highly sucessful in 2000, why is it not popular enough to be known today? why is 12 12 the standard that everyone goes by? there's gotta be a reason.

i say, stick with what works. if you increase your day, do it by an hour or so, no more. be safe.

love, kp:p

i bet the reason not many people use it is because, a, they are uninformed, or b, digital week long timers cost a lot more

oh yea, c, the flowerings a lot longer because the plant still recognizes 21:36 on and 12 off, as one day, so it will mature much slower and not many ppl have the patience to flower for 10 weeks
