I was wondering if any one has done this strain i was thinking of growing Northern Lights X Big Bud in DWC 5 gallon buckets what do you think a realistic yield can be off of each plant.

I know there are many factors involved i just want a rough estimate of what my max yield can be and then a realistic yield number. thanks

another question i see on these seeds websites that regular Northern Lights produce just as much as Northern Lights X big Bud if so whats the point of mixing it with big bud?

there is no point...northern Lights cannot be improved upon. Imho

yield, like you said depends on too many differentials to give you anything close. I have gotten 3/4 of a lb from one before.

But, I have had as little as an ounce or 2. Keep in mind, I learned about the craft, before I planted seeds...peace

the more stable your enviromental conditions are the higher your yeild will be, also the amount of weight you get per plant will also depend on how much room it has to flower, my first grow room was a 2x3x8 closet with a 400watt mh/hps switchable with a very unstable enviroment and i yeilded on average 8oz's off 2 plants, however i found that growing just 1 plant in the same amount of space yeilded 10-12 oz's, now i'm getting closer to 2 pounds with just 4 plants in a 4x4x7 space but my conditions are heavely monitored and adjusted accordingly and my enviroment is extremely stable, i cannot stress enough how much plants love a stable enviroment, thats what will get you your maximum yeild, consistancy

good reply caliorbust...good point. I was just the other day explaining to a newb that you can yield more from 1 plant that is allowed space to fluorish; As opposed to, 4-6 plants crammed all together. peace

i personally would put 3 plants in there giving each one 2 square feet, which will probably yeild you little over a qp per plants if you have a pretty stable enviroment, you could push 4 but you gotta understand the more plants the less room for light to penetrate the canopy so you will still hit close to the same weight as 3 but with smaller underdeveloped buds, with less plants you will hit the same weight but with bigger higher quality buds, if you read my original post i stated i was gettin a half pound to 3/4's in half your space with 1-2 plants, but please dont do six, i would veg 6-10 and wait to see who flowers first and keep 3 pheno types in your space
