I'm so sick of this guy. I don't give a damn how many WSOP bracelets he has, he's still not as great as he thinks he is. I've seen that fool get played like a total chump on many different occasions, and when he loses some chips because of it, his reaction is always to whine about how no one knows how to play poker.

Look motherfucker, the best time to tell someone they suck is NOT right after they just took your chips. Because if you couldn't stop them from taking your chips, then you must suck worse than they do. Just keep your mouth shut and take your losses like the professional you're supposed to be.

Phil is right about one thing, though. There is a lot of luck involved in poker. But Phil is too full of himself to recognize when it was himself who got lucky. In his mind, only other people get lucky. Everytime Phil wins a hand, it's because he's "the greatest hold 'em player in history."

pfffft...

The man needs to realize something. People are not always going to play their cards the way you would expect them to be played. They are purposely trying to prevent you from accurately guessing their hand. If I play the hand the way you say it should be played in your book, then you'll know what I have by the way I played it. However, if I play the hand in a way you're not expecting, then I get you confused and I take your chips. And you whine about how I don't know how to play!!

Fuck you, Phil Helmuth. Fuck you!! Muahahahahaha

Haha, I love Phil. He's a breath of fresh air for poker. Maybe it's just that I find how childish he acts amusing, as well as most of what comes out of his mouth. He is certainly one of a kind, but I love him for it.

My favorite quote of his is something like "there weren't luck involved, I guess I'd win every one."

But this one is good too:

"Honey! Honey! I was supposed to go broke on that hand, honey, except they forgot one thing: I can dodge bullets, baby." ~

Phil's the man. He can't take bad beats and it's hilarious. Nice quotes It's a Plant :) I haven't read his book but i'm sure it's good. He is definately regarded as one of the best in the world, not the best, but one of. I agree that he has a certain entertainment factor about him. he was also the youngest player ever to win a world series.

Like hell he is. The reason why he's always getting frustrated is because he couldn't figure out what the other person had, because they didn't play their hand the way Phil thinks it should have been played.

Daniel Negreanu, on the other hand, is amazing sometimes. I've seen him tell people what cards they were holding, and if he wasn't right, he was damn close!
