So I started off coming to this site for a research project, then I learned a few things about these hydro boxes and how they are selling for like $1200 a pop. So I did a little more research and learned that I can build a hydroponics tank for about half that price. I dont want to take the risk of growing myself, but i was thinking that I could start selling these boxes for about a $100 profit and still be about $400 cheaper than the other guys. I woud do custom boxes and ship them to america only. I have already experimented with one, and it was a successfull build for $600. Do you think this is a good or bad idea? Would I have the police knocking on my door if I buy all of the materials for these boxes?( I would buy a lot of my products online)

just becasue your building hydro boxes doesnt necisarily mean your selling them to grow marijuana you can grow almost ne crop in it plus there is nothing illegal against a box and would never hold up in court.

Ya if you were to worry about the law then I would start worrying about getting busted for not having a business license and that sort. The one way you could get around that I suppose would be to sell on ebay where you would have a ton of customers. Then again not a lot of "growers" buy stuff off ebay because apparently law enforcement deals with ebay frequently. I have heard people on these boards talking about ebay cooperating fully with the law to bust growers, sellers etc.
It sounds like a good idea but I wouldn't try to make it too big of a deal. It seems like you aren't trying to do that anyways - just make a little money on the side so you should be fine.
