I was unaware of the need for a timer when using a bubble-aero cloner.
Is this absolutely necessary and if so what timing schedule should I set it on?

Also, do the clones actually need to be submerged in the water or slightly above the top of the water?

And is that vaporizer I put in it a bad idea? Will it cause too much humidity? It makes extremely small water droplets, but it does make enough to cause a fog lol.

um well u want that bubbler on 24/7 i dont know where u read other wise. you need oxygen at the roots all the time. no they dont need to be submerged, but you can and then once the roots are situated you drop the water level. Its up to you, the bubbles should splash up on the medium when ur water level is just under the netpots. The vaporizer is a good idea, great idea, however i would be careful as to how and how much ur using it. You dont want moister build up any where but under your humidom.

Ok, well after doing some reading, here are the two things I've decided to try.

1st round: we will submerget the stems and run the bubbles 24/7 for the first day to two days, then let the water level drop so bubbles are just splashing it, with pump on 24/7. After a day or two more swap to the 15 min on 15 min off timer, running both pump & vaporizer.

2nd round: I will start with them un-submerged and run the vaporizer and air pump for the first day or two. Then after that, run the air pump alone for 24 hours then swap to air pump & vaporizer for 15 on 15 off.

According to what I read, if you have a timer and set it to like 15 min on 15 off the wetting and drying of the stem help root faster. I just dont know if the vaporizer will cause too much humidity, especially if all they need is bubbles. But fuck, I guess it wuold be alright because you can actually submerge the stems as long as they have air....I dunno, stay tuned to find out how this shit goes :) Have some pics with some clones in it hopefully tonight, and thanks for the input jack

ive never run aerocloners for 24/7. Theys just to much moisture. I run 15 on and 15 off. The humidity stays great in those 15 minutes. I know people that run one hour on, half hour off, or other combinations too. But I dont know anyone who does 24/7. Also, dont submerge the stems. I also start with the water level below. Just below, but below. If your using netpots, then they should just sit in the water.

try this, simple, cheap, effective and no electricity needed. http://icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=10225
