My friend and I are having an argument. Which band is better from the 60s. The two options are The BEatles and The Rolling Stones. You can also vote or other but you must specify which band "other" is.

No such thing as a better band in my opinion, It all comes down to personal preference.

Personally the beatles. But I think the Stones have a better groove.

of those two it is rolling stones no contest for me but they say the beatles were more important. both heavily influential bands. personally i find a lot of beatles songs annoying, but i am in a small minority there. love the stones though

I voted for the beatles but I think Pink Floyd is better then both.

i would say slipknot :rolleyes: but... that would just be too cheesy, right now i'm in a nirvana mood, so ima say them. lol

edit: btw, i don't like either of those bands. i'm not much for older music.

They wrote real rock n roll songs, not bubble gum pop music, plus they've been doing it for almost 50 years. The Beatles didn't even last 10 years.

Lennon on the other hand on his own was much better I think.

i love them both so much, but i think i like the stones a little more.
both fkin amazing bands.

seeing a few pink floyd answers.. i dont like them as much (i like maybe 6 or 7 song). dont jump on me for saying that but i think that people say they are the absolute best band ever and i have to disagree.. but that just comes down to my OPINION and nothing else.

Rolling Stones by far.

I still love the Beatles though. But the Stones were more rock n roll.. the Beatles were more pop-ish. Just my .02.

But I'd take Led Zeppelin over either one of them, or most bands from that era for that matter.

Get baked, listen to obscured by clouds, the divison bell or A sauacerful of secrets and you'll probably like them more. Trust me, the more you listen to Floyd, the more you'll like them. Then again, that's the same with any music, but ganja helps a lot :)
