Ho ho hooo!
Thats very cool.
Kinda sad though too.
Now she's more of a "mod" and less of a "member".
But she was practically being used as a dictionary anyway.

Some lovely sentiments here and some, like yours, EG420ne, that made me laugh out loud. I loved that! Perhaps it won't be as bad as you think.
Thanks, Dro Princess and Cassiopiea, Charlene, Lucky Niner, Minnesota Man, Phoenix, JohnnyAKBob, and others.
In answer to your question LIP? Yes, I'll still love you. I'll still love everyone I loved before--and probably a lot of new ones, too. No worries there. I suspect I'll probably just be posting a bit less as I'm learning how to do the background part of this job.
Thanks again for the warm welcome, friends. Minnesota Man, I'll be writing you an email fairly soon to ask you a design question and catch up, if that's OK. Wish you'd come on back here frequently and regularly like before. Take care!

Congratulations. Birdgirl.......did you have to pass..a drug test..for this position?
LOL! A drug test wasn't a requirement. But the sad fact is I'd have passed it had I been administered one. Or at least I'd have come close. My smoking days ended in the second week of August, after a nice summer of occasional toking with my then chemo-patient sister, when I entered med school and signed an agreement I wouldn't use illegal drugs or violate the code of honor. This is something I surely wish I'd not been asked to agree to. But I did. And so I shall abide by it. When I retire, I'll smoke again.
So now you know. I'm not even a stoner. Just an advocate and supporter. If it were legal, I'd be lighting up so fast your head would spin. Or mine would!
Thanks for the congrats!

Hey, Tootsie. Well, there's nothing new to report. She's basically in a coma now and has been mostly unconscious for the last two or three days. We're keeping her turned and keeping her airways clear and just basically coasting till the end comes. Sorry for not responding. It's not an easy thing to write about. I promise I'll update you if anything changes. My parents and aunt and sister are here now, helping keep vigil. We all feel like we're in a sort of suspended animation. I'm glad Bess herself isn't aware of anything that's going on. It's been hard to watch my parents have to endure this.
Thanks for the continued welcomes and congratulations, Skrappie, Dutch P, Stinky, SDHall, Latewood and CannabisC. Take care, everyone.

CONGRATS BIRDGIRLL!! your most definatly my favorite member (mod now haha) ever and im glad your gona hang around the site even though your not toking at the moment. hows your sister doing by the way.
i know i should post this somewhere else but i thought id just take this as an opportuinity to ask you a question thats been bothering me for a helza long time. sometimes i cant justify my smoking. like even though i know its good side and how many circulating lies there are about a plant part of me cant help but know that the vast majority looks down on it and judges us cannabis users, and when one of those people is my own mom it makes me feel really bad and i dont know if i should just give it up and stop or what. i dont really know what i want to hear but...help?

..the code of honor..is all that matters..from an old lowly medic ..to a future doctor...

Thanks, Fan-O and BuddymyFriend, for your congratulations. I hope you're both doing well. Fan-O, on your question, you've gotta do what makes you feel best. If you're getting so much grief and feeling like weed's not working positively for you in your life right now, then you can decide to take a break. Weed's always going to be there, and when you live on your own you'll have more freedom. Remember you can still combat lies about weed without being a smoker. In some ways, that gives you a lot more credibility in many people's eyes. Anyway, decide for yourself. And if you do decide to give it a break, keep in mind that weed is still going to be out there for you when you're ready to smoke again.
Dutch Pimp, thanks for that reminder about the honor code being the priority. I find that helpful to be reminded of right now. You know, having done fire-rescue medic work for several years myself, I know better than to ever let anyone use the words "medic" and "lowly" in the same sentence. Especially not a combat medic. Y'all are about two steps removed from trauma surgeons, you're so good. That's impressive work--and work that doctors and wanna be doctors stand in awe of. So from a lowly first-year pipsqueak med student, here's a salute to you, who've likely done equally, if not more, heroic work than any doctor: Long live the brotherhood! And may Saint Michael protect you, Dutch.
