hey
im new at this and i want to grow.
i have a female seed that i got from a friend but all i did is just put it in a container of soil (miracel grow) and i added some water to it. as of right now its under my lamp. all i want to know is if i am doing it correctly. the seed is a reggies seed. and if i am doing it correctly, how long would it take to grow and how much would grow if its only one female seed.
thank you.

first, why did you not germinate the seed first?
second,...
ok, let me restart,
i have only seen one article about being able to distiguish the sex of a seed. and you said "reggies", so i have to assume it is not a purchased feminized seed. so don't count on the female part.
first, NEVER start a plant in straight mg soil, it's just too potent. before you plant, you should germinate the seed.
what kind of light are you using (bulb/wattage/spectrum)?
check out FAQ's, youll learn ALMOST everything you need to know, and here's a link to a great gro guide...

do some research, and then you'll better be able to ask for what you need to have/know.
hope this helps,
love, brooke

Thanks, the only problem is that I germinated it in soil, then took it out and transferred it. Does this make any difference to the placement of the seed? Should it still be downward? The stem as of now is about 2cm long.
Thanks
