Im sorry if this was covered elsewhere. I searched for a while and came up dry. But i have my seeds in a wet paper towel which is in a ziplock baggie. Two of the seeds have popped open and the little things popping out just a tad(sorry im very stoned so this might not make sense). How long am i supposed to let them germinate? Keep em till the root is a certain size or until something special i dont know about happens? Again im sorry if this is blatantly posted up somewhere and im just too stoned to realize. Thanks in advance!:):smokin: :stoned:

stick em your grow medium as soon as the seed has popped.

I'd offer advice but have only ever just popped seeds into soil, watered and waited........ worked like a charm!

Good luck

It differs. I've done it two ways. Planting right when the seed pops, and the taproot just begins to poke out. And i've also waited, and let the taproot grow about an inch before planting. Either way, I got results.

Although I got them quicker letting it grow an inch.

But it's alot safer (alot safer) to just plant them root down, right when you notice they've popped. Because waiting for them to get an inch long, can risk your roots being drowned. I have yet to have that problem, when waiting for them to grow an inch before planting, but it is def. possible.

The only downside to planting right when you see the seed pop, is that you'll have to wait a bit longer to see results. Usually 2-5 days. Whereas when you let the root grow an inch before planting, you sometimes see results (seedlings) the very next day after planting them. Sometimes even same day!

Still, it's quite risky though. I'd suggest planting after they pop.

And furthermore, not being too impatient with them. They will show up! If you planted them correctly, you will get a seedling! It's hard to screw this part of the process up, lol. The only thing that'll screw it up, is impatience.

Be patient. You'll more than likely see results, within a week.

when you say pop, do you mean when the shell is cracked open and u just plant that white thing? or do you plant the cracked seed with the thing hanging out in the soil? and which way do you plant it, with the pointy thing up or down? or it doesnt matter?

Hey jdbeier38
I plant them when they crack and have a white tail coming out of the seed.
Plant them carefully tail down in the medium just to the top of the seed.
The tail is the root of the plant.Just moisten the medium and keep it moist.
The seed shell feeds the little spout till it falls off.Just keep it moist no ferts
just water for 3 wks and tranplant it in a bigger pot. That"s how I do it and I get some nice plants too.
