in general, too long. (about four months)

Yeah, that's about right, four months. But once you get going, if you do the perpetual harvest thing, you can start harvesting more often than that. But the first time through, four months is a good ballpark figure. You have to learn patience, which is pretty hard, I know. But it's even harder to pay $400/ounce. Heh. ;)

the veg stage last about 6-8 weeks, then you induce flower which can take 8-12 weeks depending on strain, after that 10days to dry 3-4 weeks cure so all in all about 5 months when its ready to smoke

If your in a rush lowryder2 is 60 days from seed to harvest, bud is ok better than lowryder. I was thinking about cross breeding LR2 with my WW plant...wonder what would happen?

There are various strains that can finish from a seedling in just over two months if you flower early, just use the sea of green method to increase overall yield.
