cuz i had to harvest my plant early due to hunters in the forest, right now its not too great, just gives me a buzz, but its not even fully dried out yet. once ive dried it and cured it for like 2 or 3 weeks, will it be a better high do you think?

i think curing MIGHT increase potency, but it definitely makes it taste better.

No, there is no way it could possibly increase potency. Once the plant is dryed its no longer produces anything. Curing is for the smoke.

okay well i did just read in the faq that smoking fresh weed isnt as strong as when its been cured because curing doesnt INCREASE thc but it does activate it to its fullest extent.

is that true?

my understanding is yes curing encreases potency- trichs carry moisture, and it takes curing ti dry out trichs- dry trichs become active THC- just what i have read over and over again

basically to answer your question, it doesnt make more THC, once plucked, fresh weed isnt very psychoactive at all, once it has dried and been cured it becomes psychoactive, i pulled a plant the other day, and i was real pissed off because it was COATED in THC but the effects only lasted about 5 minutes, then when i dried it properly, it got me fucked lol so there u go, dry it and enjoy...

thc is produced by drying, not curing. in order for thc to come to affect, and for other canibinoids to turn psychoactive, the plant has to dry COMPLETELY. (you know, like powdery dust and stuff) curing from this completely dry point both puts some moisture back in the plant, and sweats out the chlorophyll.

most important thing is to dry the plant completly before starting the curing process.

Curing activates THC, so yes, cured weed compared to uncured weed has a noticeable differnce in potency.

Curing also breaks down chemicals that make the weed green, and make it taste green, primarily chlorophyl.

Belive me, curing will make a differnce.

One post I remember, quite a while back, was with a guy who harvested, he sampled before harvest, and periodically every week after, to see the change in the smoke. I think he came to conclusion that anything between 30-60 days dramatically increased the stoning ability of the ganja.
