No, stick to those CFL's you had for vegging, then hit the HPS up when you go into flowering.

can i stick like 3 CFLs with the HPS.....would that help

if your CFLs were big-wattage, use them for veg, otherwise, use the 100w sodium for the entire grow ... as long as your plant doesn't 'stretch', you'll be fine ... combining the lamps is fine, too ... :smokin:

YES, you can use the the 100w HPS from start to finish. I have seen many Grow Journals on a different site were they used 250w HPS from start to finish and they had a really good harvest. Just put a timer on that thing and let them plants grow :thumbsup: ...

I'd be worried that the diffuser on the lamp is going to absorb most of the useable light. i'd remove it.

I'd use both if heat permits.. Its really more lummes the better. in most cases

well the diffuser keeps about 80% of the heat out
