I am mustering up the confidence to ask my mom if I can grow a plant. I already have some good reasons but I just don't think she'll go for it. But on the other hand I think that I have excellent reasons. I am going toi wait for my report crad to coem before i ask her. So any good argumentive points that you have would be greatly appreciated.

It's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission.

And what are you going to do if she says no? Is that going to change your mind about growing?

If you are still waiting on your report card and you don't know aleady she would be cool with it, there is probably a better chance of contracting AIDS from kissing your dog than of her saying yes.

In otherwords, I wouldn't even bother asking but let us know what she says. :D

I was thinking the same thing. I may do it but I usually never get around to it. What sparked this was that I threw a seed in a flower pot a week or so ago and it has now sprouted. I'll see how that one goes.

First, I want you to think about the legal aspects. Not just for your scrawny little ass, but for your Mom's sake. Do the cops in your area sieze property? Do you rent or own your home? Cars? The cops make a LOT of money from property siezures! What is your Mom's job- would your being busted for growing at home- with her knowledge- mess it up for her? You bet your little blue booties it would! She would be hit with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and likely lose her job and custody of you and your siblings! Don't laugh- it happened about a month ago ( Florida?). And can you keep your mouth shut...completely... about the grow, both in "real life" and on the boards? What about your "always talking" kid brother? Would he brag? What are the laws in your state? :confused: (Why don't you just go on some lovely hikes somewhere this spring and toss some seeds?) You have some studying up to do on the laws and some heavy duty thinking before you ask Mom. Now, to answer your inquiry,- (A) Home grown is safer. You never know if pot has been laced, moldy or sprayed with pesticides. It also keeps you away from those "low-life dealers" who sell kids pot- It's the black market types who are dangerous, not the pot. (B) Home grown is cheaper. A half dozen fluoros or CFLs and the power to run them will run you way less than an ounce. (C) Mom would have some control over the amount that would be used. (D) Make a pledge to smoke only at home. Far less chance of being busted. (E) Does Mom/grandparents have any medical problems? run a search with --"the problem" cannabis abstract There has been a lot of interesting research lately and not just on Alzheimer's! (F) Get a vaporizer! This will minimize the amount you use (while still getting you quite high), minimize health risks, and minimize the smell. Most of the box types are reasonably effective and cost around $150. (G) Your grades will tell a story- Dig out those old report cards and tell Mom honestly- "This is when I started smoking pot and my grades have not dropped." (H) It is a hobby you can spend a lot of time on and you'll be at home tending your "babies" and not out whoopin' it up with the boys! Gardening (especiallly organically) is good for the spirit. It calms you and makes you aware of the beauty all around you. Good luck!

Very good points. Never grow in someone elses house, espiacially parents homes. Wait untill you have your own place, so you'd be the only one to get fucked.
