is it ever to early to use a bug killer spray on a plant. I had a new plant bout 2 inches tall and not very old at all, and i checked on it the next day and it was dead. i used it on my older plant and it is fine.

Why would you have to use bug killer so early in the plants life?

It is best to eliminate the bugs before starting seedlings or new clones as they cannot stand the chemicals in most incecticides. Smaller plants root structures are not fully developed and small at the early stages, not to mention have just gone through shock during the transplant (if clone).

If I were you when finished with this crop, spray the whole grow chamber down with a strong incecticide, and then wash every nook and cranny with bleach. Then use a soap incecticide such as 'EndAll' as a prevention spray. Spray afdter the forst month of growth and then continue every 2 weeks until the crop is finished. The last 4 weeks of budding you can stop using it as it is better for the smoker. Hope this helps and good luck!

I am not familiar with that product so I can't say if it is effective, but if it lists mites, thrips and white fly's on the label it's probably a good one. I personally like 'End-All' and I believe it too is organic. After a day or two the chemicals break down into water and oxygen (or Co2 - can't remember?) so it can even be used on budding plants. Look for it in a yellow spray bottle at stores such as WalMart, Home Depot, Canadian Tire and places like that. It is great for prevention or cases of mites that are just starting, but will not work on out of control cases. For that you will need something stronger. But, if you use End-All once or twice as prevention or as a few beginning mites are seen it will do the trick. Personally I think it is the most safe and effective means of treatment you can get, and I've tried many. Hope this helps and good luck on your grow!

you could boil some cigs, strain it off, put the cig water into a spray bottle with a drop of soap, and go nuts. kills most bugs, but you have to keep treating the soil. sprayed my infested seedlings and now the mites are gone for the time being. it only gets the adult/juve mites though, not the eggs.
