This is my first grow. It looks like a male based on pictures I have seen across the Internet, but I just want to make sure. Can some experts comment on this?

It is about 8 days into 12/12 light. (white widow under 400 W HPS)

Thank you for your help.

Hard to say, but to me...it looks like it could be female more then male, but I'm no expert.

The pre-flowers are hard to determine, but they look more male than female to me..

I have 5 other plants going. A couple look the same (male).. One or two are probably female. I think I want a male to make SOME seeds. How's this for an idea...

I chop down all but one male... Then, I take the remaining male and cut off all but a couple of low branches. Then, I let them flower... perhaps with a bag over them. I planted all the plants in the same bucket, so I really cannot move the male into another room. How's the plan sound?

Thanks for your help everyone!

its not good u keep all your plants in one container. But thats done now. take some cuttings from the male and flower them in another area. Then collect the pollen when they r mature and polinate a brunch of ur females with a brush. That way u will find seeds in that part of the plant and not the rest of the buds

Save only 1 male.
Put a paper bag over it when the flowers are about to open. Tape the bottom as close around the stem as you can.
When the pollen is shed, cut down the WHOLE male without removing the bag.
In another room, take the male out of the bag.
Now pick one branch of one female you want to pollinate.
Put the bag with the pollen on the inside over that 1 branch only- you'll get plenty of seeds, don't worry- for only about a day.
Remove it without letting any pollen get out if you can help it.
Tag the branch that was pollinated. You should see seeds starting to form in about a week and a half.

Can I use a plastic bag that lets light in instead of the paper bag?

It might be a hermie... it might be too early though.
