Hi everyone was reading Soccergals thread and thought ide start my own since everyone seemed so helpful.... soooo here it goes.

After germinating my seed I realized I didnt really have the materials I needed to grow this plant the right way but the root was already showing and it needed to planted now so I made do with what I had around the house. I made a pot out the bottom of a chlorine bottle, rinsed it out well and planted the seedling in some dirt from another plant outside. I took a 1x1x2 cardboard file box and put a 25w 350lumen flourescent light inside on a 18/6 timer hanging it 2inches above the plant. So far the plant is 2 inches tall and the seed shell is about to fall off. I know that if I try to grow the plant in these conditions its going to die so im turning to the forums for help.

After reading around the internet for a couple days ive learned many things but im still confused on certain things. Im trying to make a list of things I need to buy to grow (Lights, Soil and nutes). From reading Soccergals thread Ive decided to go 100% organic. Heres a list of things I think I need so far... feel free to correct me if im wrong.

Soil Mix
Scots potting soil for seeds
Blood meal
Bone meal
Perlite
Vermiculite
Wormcastings
Im confused on what soil mix to use when I transplant my plants for flowering

Nutes
Earthjuice Grow & Bloom
Meta - K
Microblast
As I understand it these 4 are to be used in a spray bottle correct?

Dolomite lime (to raise ph?)
Sulfur (to lower ph?)

As far as lights im lost... I understand that I need different lights for vegative cycle and flowering cycle

I need to use a method that keeps the plant small but which one (LST, SoG, ScroG?) I was only planning on growing 1-2 plants at a time then cloning so I would have a continuous supply of bud.

I was going to make my second growbox 2x2x3 out of plywood but im open for sugestions.

For ventilation I was going to cut a small hole in the sheetrock of my closet and have the fan blow everything into the wall/attic. I dont really have another way of venting the odors out of the closet without smelling the room up.

Guess thats its if im leaving something out please let me know, thanks for your time :)

holy crap. Dude i just typed a really great reply to your thread, and i hit the go button instead of post because i'm high. anyways, for now keep that flourescent about 1-2 inches from the plant.

Get a High Pressure Sodium or Metal halide Light for quality buds. These lights will be around 200 dollars perhaps?

or get some Compact Flourescent Lights.

Aim for 2500 lumens per square foot

Do not feed any nutrients until week 2 or 3, and then only feed 1/4 strength then work up to 1/2 or 3/4 or full i dunno, depends on what your plant can take.

this is a pretty good guide to get you started. Welcome to the wonderful world of cannabis cultivation my friend

and don't overwater it. Give some water to soak the soil then let it dry. This might take 3-4 days depending on your soil and air flow. This will encourage root growth as they search for water. This is a good thing.

and if you're going for continuous bud, you might want to make a 2 level box, with a vegetative shelf for your clones and a larger section for flowering.

Dont have the money for the HPS or MH lights, thanks for the info and great link =) I might make a 2 level box like your talking about if I can keep it hidden...

I was reading up on LST, SoG and ScroG... LST sounds like its the way to go, ScroG sounds good but also sounds like alot of work.

i've tried lst and topping experiments with the eight blueberrys i've got, and have had excellent results with both of these methods. i would only suggest topping if you are growing a strain that's yeild/cola size are not affected. topping some strains leads to more buds, but much much smaller. lst is awesome for stunting growth and keeping them squat. the one plant that i lst'd only, is 9 inches tall, but cosists of about 25-30 branches; pot looks like a hanging basket.

considering the size of your grow space, i'd say lst; bend em, bend em, then bend em some more. let the plant gro vert for about 3 nodes, then tie the top down again (remove prior strings, or retie one for whole grow).

good luck!

love, brooke

Ive been thinking i should go LST also but ScroG looks very promising if done right.

I was thinking it might be possible to grow in my attic, its way too hot up there but i was thinking i could take a line coming off the air condition line or maybe even an exhaust fan from a bathroom to run cool air into the growbox and have the box vent straight into the attic. Anyone ever tried this or something like it? Is it even possible? My only concern is possibly spreading the odor of the plants throughout the house through the air vents....
