Lol seriously i am clueless about growing

(To the mods before you move this please leave it in this section for a while to get more replies quicker as this is something i have to do quickly)

Once again i heard serveral different ways about how to put the seed into the pot of soil/compost/gravel w.e....

i heard u sorta poke a hole in the top with your finger about 1inche deep and leave it

i heard u do that and then cover it over

i heard u put it right at the bottom although that sounds like bullshit

ive heard that you just put it at the top

i heard it has to be in the middle

any of them right :s or do they all work??

Thank you in advance

You want the seed to be under the dirt as deep as the seed is thick.

the seed should be no more than an inch below the soil when starting out.

Hey CC...........first you germinate the seed. I put it into a glass of water for about 48 hours. When ya see the lil' white root showing then you put it into your soil mix. (use a tweezers, DO NOT TOUCH) I use 1/2 potting soil, 1/4 perlite, and 1/4 peat. Plant the seed about 1/2" into the soil, then water lightly. I always cover the pot with a plastic wrap until the sprout reaches the wrap........gives a lil' greenhouse effect.

Hey dude, as many posts as you got and never checked out the grow section?? I'M SHOCKED!!! lol....hope this helped out your quest dude!

Have a good one!

supposing u have the lights, put the seeds in a plate between 6 layers of paper towel, moist the towels with warm water (not too much water) then cover with another plate and leave it in a dark warm place untill the seeds crack and a little white root comes out. Then take the seeds and put em about 1 inch deep in the soil with the root pointing down. Springle some water and in a few days the little fella will come to the surface

One more thing that works for me. To avoid bugs/mold put your soil in the oven at 270 deg. for 20 min.: Sterilizes the soil and kills any nastys that may be there;bug larva and mold spores. I've never had a bug problem!:D

Have a good one!

We're very much alike, this is how i tend to do it. Right down to the cling film over the top to keep it moist and protected. :D

in the early stages (first 2 weeks) you should only water it once a day am i right and then more often as it gets bigger?

Peat is also dug into soil to increase the soil's capacity to retain moisture and add nutrients. This makes it of considerable importance agriculturally, for farmers and gardeners alike. Its insulating properties make it of use to industry as well.

You can get it at most larger plant shops, etc.........gardening stores.

Have a good grow!

When their in the sprout stage they only need the initial watering. Then from there I'd advise to get a moisture meter. You put this into the soil and it tells ya when it's dry. DO NOT over water! The roots like to seek out moisture.....wait till it's about bone dry then water, usually about every other day.

Have a good grow!

Peat is also why the Norfolk Broads were formed [Where i work]

They were large peat digginging from when it was used as fuel. Good stuff.

Then these peat diggings flooded and the rivers were dug to join them all up.

Alot of people think the Norfolk Broads are natural but they are so wrong lol.

Hmm well ive already started this one without most of that stuff you've said lol so i dont really expece much i would be suprised if its still alive

And yeah P4B with all my posts i dont really check out the grow section because i feel (because i dont know nothing about cultivation) i cant really give any feedback.

But ill leave it and see how this one goes look into perlite and peat etc and get another seed and do it right this time because ive learnt a lot more from here than i did 1 week ago lol

thanks for the help P4B, LIP, BB + Everyone else :)
