I get my half's for 60, but no way should you pay more than 70. an oz of skunk runs at 120 is most parts, some places higher, some lower.

Nice one guys, how do you tell the difference between weed and skunk, been told its alot darker, nothing to go by otherwise. How much would 1/4 be, I'd imagine £35-40 and 1/8 bout £15-20 am I right ? And when you weigh up, do you take it all out the bag onto the scales or take some off instead of emptying the baggie. Wanna make sure I'm not getting ripped off.

I have learned some slang over time here from people in the Uk.

Skunk to them is high quality, potent stuff, but to Americans and Canadians and sort, we think of Skunk as the smell of a real skunk, either good or shit.

Weed to them is low quality poop, but again, to us, weed is just a slang word for ganja, smoke, cheeba, pot, Mary hoolie, and the list goes on and on.

When a thread like this pops up, I now check to see if that user has their countries flag next to the name, then I know if they are from the Uk, then their slang and words are much different than most I'm used to.

Ok So here's the low down, with info collected here included :-

1/8 3.5-4.0 grams (£15-20)


1/4 7.0 grams (£35-40)


1/2 Ounce 14.0 grams (£60-70)

Still not sure about the visual difference between the good and bad, I was told skunk was the dark green good shit, someone said the exact opposite. What are signs of quality ?

but theres a bit of a drought in south london ATM so I have to get caustic weed but i get an eighth for a tenner so im sorted.

And to the guy who asked wht skunk is, its much stronger and in my experience is lighter green and comes in rounder buds with lots of orange hairs.

edit.. oh forgot to say that you can tell skunk because the buds have a distinct smell.

If you ever wanna buy bud down camden be sure to get skunk because all you have to do is sniff before you buy to be sure ur not ggetting gipped but I wouldnt recomend that unless your desperate.

Yes, skunk is a strain, but in the UK skunk is also used as a slang term for high quality, and most of the stuff in the UK is high quality.

It's only like the American's saying dro... we all know it means hydroponic but they also use it as slang for good weed.

I tend to agree with ukmonkey, his guide for prices of good quality weed in the U.K, at the present moment of:

An 1/8th is £20, as a general rule, so to speak.
A 1/4 is from £35 to £40 depending on quality mainly.
A 1/2oz at about £65 to £75 depending on quality again.

This is only a general idea for you to get a rough pricing structure for U.K prices, but if the drought is on then people charge what they can and the majority of people will pay it, if thats all there is. Also, there is the obvious and infamous soapbar which at the momen tends to be priced at around £10 for a 1/4, £20 for a 1/2, £40 for an Ounce and £200 to £220 for a stamped 9 bar. Once again, this is only a generalization of the prices in the UK at the moment from my own experiances. I hope this has been of some help my fellow toker, peace out Cannabis.com Crew. :)
