This is a hotly debated topic. I'm enjoying smoke that I grew with chemical fertilizer. 20-20-20 during vegetation and 10-50-?(K I forget) during flowering...mixed at 1/2 strength every 3 waterings until near the end. Never burned them. I also sprayed them a couple of times with diluted mix and didn't have a problem.

Im currently growing my mother plant which is a tutti frutti.

Its being grown in a 2 gallon tub(uk equevelant).
1 part rock wool and 3 parts B&Q multi purpose compost.
I use a dillute solution of MG every 3 days and my plant is growing tall and strong.

I did uses MG as a hydro fert on my first 2 plants, it did pritty well till i increased the fead and then it killed both plants.

Ive not really had a problem with MG except for when i was using hydros.

MG soil is where the problem usually occurs.. the fertilizer/nutrients are far less problematic...

The big problem with the soil.. is the PH... The PH is usually 4.0 - 5.0 .. so even if you water with 7.0 water you are still fucked.. or shall i say your plants are fucked..

There is also a lot of chemicals in the soil which can be a bit harsh on seedlings .. although they usually pull through..

That being said, I have witnessed some amazing growths with both the soil and the fertilizer..
