:what: seems like i have a male between one of the two,i must say i have to :glugglug: to this because i did get lucky with one being a female.i could be wrong what do you cultivater's think, one female male, right?
yep, one is definitely female and the other is probably male but I wouldn't make any rash choices yet. Let it go for a while. Youre in no danger of pollenation yet.

Very nice pics of the preflowers, man. 9/10 I'd say I'd agree with ya about your diagnosis. #1M, #2F. Right on. What strain is this? Maybe try flowering the male in a separate room and harvesting pollen to pollenate the bottom branch or so of the female and get some seeds if it's good stuff.
Be cool.

always take clones before you flower them

heat is always a critcal factor in close quarters. get it out of there as fast as you can...invest in a good carbon filter and you won't have the odor worry.

im not sure if this plant is on pace for an 400w hps light.i got a brand new bulb and see an big different i guess the bulb was faulty but anyway i think im having a deficiency maybe k im not sure though.its looks toxic so i flushed with 7 gallons of water some boiled some cold from the faucet but mixed though then i add maybe a close to half strength of fox farm big bloom,I'll see what happens, here some pic this grow thing isn't as easy as i read it to be and yes i spent way more money then i imagine but i know im not done yet either. i know one thing its fun

bud are starting to form. Its been 30 days of 12/12 and 15 days of budding.just want to know is that how you calculate flowering time or do u count it from the first time you go to 12/12:confused:
oh,here's some pics
Hiya Smoky, wow! That plant is really reaching for the stars! It's amazing to go back and look at the baby pictures.
You count flowering from the time it went under 12/12 lighting.
Looks sativa dominate...should be some nice smoke

12-06-2006, 09:26 AM
doco, thanks for ur response so it mostly sativa:thumbsup:
Looks like it to me...graceful, slender leaves mmmmmm...Such a beautiful plant. BTW, only use the flowering time as a guideline - check the trichomes to determine harvest time.

BTW, only use the flowering time as a guideline - check the trichomes to determine harvest time.thanks doco,I read alot about that seen some polls, but when is it the time to harvest at,cloudy and ambered or cloudy and clear
Well to be frank, I don't have any experience there, lol. I didn't know about checking the trichomes till I came to cannabis.com! I used to just harvest when the hairs were mostly red/brown or if the rainy season started early but that was outdoors obviously.
What I have read is the clear/cloudy is more of a stimulating cerebral high and the cloudy/amber is more body stone couchlock. There's some good threads on here about it. I think it has to do with the relationships between the percentage of THC and the other cannibinoids content.
I just bought a 30x-60x mini handheld microscope at Radio Shack for $12

OK here is pics, seem like the trichome are cloudy but the plant doesn't look ripe yet as i see other during their second month of flowering.seems to be still budding.I guess being a saliva dominant strain I believe im going to be flowering for about 10-12 weeks,so Ive read but, here's pic:rastasmoke:

67 day of flowering and still doesent look close to being ripe.I change ferts to cha ching fox farm 9/5o/10 ive read its for late flowering and give good results.finally i up grade my ph meter to an hanna checker i had a ferry moris. The buds are getting fatter everyday but the tricomes only seem to be on the pod only but all in all thing lookin ok.I do have a 60/100x scope oh one more little detail was i had to put a glass of water in my cad to get some type of humidty well enough for now happy growing:jointsmile:
smokybear
01-17-2007, 08:10 AM
OK,I finally figured out how i was getting humidity in my cab when not having a humidifier in works, i have these white rocks a friend gave me and told me to put them in the pot first and then pour the dirt in or put the rocks on the bottom in between the run out saucer and pot i believe this will give u better drainage and keeps the soil moist longer.I found out it also brings the humidity up nicely too.I dont remember wht the white rocks was called, but if anyone knows could you post the name, thanks.
I would go by the trichomes smoky...if they are cloudy or amber, it's ready despite what anybody elses looks like. Every strain has it's own characteristics....the white strains get lots of crystals, sativas are tall, some strains mature early and some later, etc. I do agree that the hairs all still look white but if you are saying the trichomes are cloudy & amber under your microscope, then it is time. Flush them for a week or two with nothing but plain water, then pluck those bad girls.
Also, you do NOT want humidity during budding...it can cause mold in the buds. Humidity during veg is great but not flowering.
And those white rocks are called perlite I do believe.

01-17-2007, 09:17 AM
doco......I appreciate the quick response and yes thats what they are called.I dont remember saying that i seen some amber, but if i did then i missed type there just cloudy right now and i still see calyx growing with new stigmas if im pronouncing it right so i believe im still in late budding and also doesn't the hairs should be like 70 percent red, brown, orange, etc
Yep, you're on the right track then, next stop, Budsville Station. Maybe I read amber into it somewhere.

02-08-2007, 05:28 AM
wow still cloudy at 13 weeks doesn't really look tasty and buddy at all i must have made a million mistake. seemly since its was my first grow it was due to happen.I will show disappointing pics of the plant for the last time soon thanks to all who help me thru this :S5:
