hey 2 all strain experts out there, i havnt found a thread on this site or any dot com site that has plants listed that will do well or made for CFL's. most plants grown N harvested 4 seeds were done under HPS and HID lights yes i kno this but is there any particular strain that will do just as or close to the same yield as it would under a HID or HPS?
any advice or 2 cents would be helpful

HPS is not in a class by it self, an HPS is an HID, HID = High Intensity Discharge lamp, an HPS (High Pressure Sodium) and MH (Metal Halide) lamp are just HID's which are made for higher wattage than most lights of course, but that doesnt mean you cant use a few CFL's (Compact Fluorescent light), you can use a few CFL's that might output the same ammount of light as a 125 w MH or what ever.

You can grow bud with cfl's, but you will need a bunch of them to have enough light to produce an amount worth growing for!! Lowryder is a popular strain for tight places and for first time growers! HID's are the best hands down! There is no miricle plant out there specifically for cfl's! I'd say try Afgani!! They stay small, very little stretch! Heavey compact buds, and very stoned high!! :stoned:

I'm going to agree with krazyken about the Afghans.
Any strain with unusually broad leaves to catch lots of light=better luck under CFLs imo.
