greetings from seattle everyone....I live in an apartment complex, I have a small closet with a 1'x1'x5' space, all I want to do is just grow one plant...the temp. in my closet in 70 deg...and I cant cut a hole in the wall for ventilation, but I can leave the door cracked open and no outside light will get to the space I want to grow...anyone have any good suggestions on how to get started or a good book for me to follow...thanks everyone...

Is this a box or a closet? One by one seems very tight. You will have to find a pot and light that will fit inside. You need to make the light adjustable. I would suggest you cut out all the side growth and let it grow up and maybe you can get one nice cola. This is a bizarre setup. If you order a fruit tree online, it comes in a box of similar size. Good Luck
Also, depending on your setup, you may have to use a Fluorescent light. It's good to keep the plant around 75 so if you're already at 70, you don't want to add much more heat. If you can spend, the more lumens the better. You probably can get a high watt CFL that screws on and find any fixture that fits and supports the wattage of the bulb. And make the walls reflective so the light can bounce.
It will grow, it's a weed. READ,READ,READ

You can put a hook with a chain to allow the light to go up and down. And if smell is a problem, try to select a plant with less stink.
