So to begin, I am a pretty heavy smoker. I rarely take breaks. I exercise pretty regularly and have a slim to average build. That being said, I have a drug test today for pre-employment and haven't smoked since I found out about the test (11-12 days). Fairly certain that it will only be a UA for insurance purposes.

For piece of mind I found a seperate lab that offered non-enterprise drug testing (to the public) and paid the 33$ for their non-DOT 5 panel. I chose not to do any diluting as a control, just to see how far along I am. The result came back as I thought they might and I failed the THC component at 104 ng/ml they also performed the confirmation with the GC/SM test or whatever they ion test is called. The first test cutoff was 50 ng/ml then by failing that I assume they send it for the other for confirmation in which the cutoff is 15 ng/ml.

All pretty basic stuff so far. I took that test Tuesday, and today is Friday: Test day! I sure did study hard for this one ;p I intend to dilute and have rolaids and asprin floating just behind my teeth with all the water/gatoraid I have been drinking. Also been loading on Creatin/b vitamins for the last few days. I feel comfortable with the dilution method, since a negative - dilute result only buys me more time. The flip side of that is it works and I won't need a retest. Incidentally on the test I took, the integrity sample section listed ph, creatin, and nitrite. All passed, however again I wasn't diluting at that point.

My question is, is it safe to assume that at a reasonable rate with an average metabolism that I would be somewhat close to the first test's cutoff? I base this possibility on the fact that a non-habitual smoker will process the thc in as few as 3-5 days and during those days after smoking they would come in above the 50 ng/ml cutoff. So I guess the real question is, what is a roughly average rate of dissipation? 5-10 ng/ml a day or so is what I'm guessing but any more info would ease my mind. I understand that I will still need to dilute but the closer to the cutoff I get, the better and the less neccessary dilution becomes. Wish me luck!

How long till your test?

I think all these additive ideas are to risky if its a good job.
All you do is drink TONS of water for a week, I am talking minimium of 2 gallons a day, not " almost 2 gallons " full on 2 gallons + , do this for 5-7 days, then allow 2 or 3 days to get the natural color back in your piss, overall if you have 10 days you can do this and be well under 50ng.

I went from HEAVY smoker to under 15ng in 9 days, but im pretty thin. Also did a self test at a local hospital for 30$.

Nanograms per microliter? Isn't that the same thing as milligrams per liter or grams per kiloliter? People make things too complicated.

Just relating *exactly* what was on the lab form. Though some people would like to know. Took the test and have other very specific things to share about it but don't need to be trolled for it. ok?

So this lab was very similar in may respects. Being a non-DOT test I wasn't asked to empty my pockets, just "don't flush" is all they said. Note, the toliet water was blue in case I was going to try and contaminate the test with the water in the toliet. My cousin is a truck driver in the area for nearly 20 years and related to me his DOT test experiences. Similar tests from what I understand, only the non-DOT test is more expensive and they watch you pee.

I'm not a subber, I know that surveillence is far to sophisticated not to expect something, so dilution was my choice. The guy giving the test seemed sympathetic and had, as I noticed on the forms, already checked the boxes regarding the sample's integrity. Whether this was a lesser test performed w/o integrity check or he was just getting ahead of himself I don't know. Either way I was glad to see that information on the test sheet. I asked him what the turn around would be, hoping to glean some small amount of info from him. He told me he would know in 20 minutes; saying that they tested it right there. I asked if they mailed, called, or faxed results to my employer and I could also be made aware. He said they faxed them typically but it was based on the employers account preferences.

I waited a few hours and called the prospective employer telling them I had the process completed and all the paperwork (NDA, offer letter, tax forms) was done and I would see them monday morning. They said great, see ya Monday. Although I'm just infering, I know that they recieved the results and believe they would have informed me that I needn't bother coming in if it was positive.

I'll really only know monday morning as I go in to work, but I have a good feeling about it and owe alot of it to this forum and that god among men "N2". I felt well prepared to face the test on my own terms and hope to be able to offer as much information as I can to other seeking to beat these ridiculous standards. What I do on my own time is certainly my business, and clearly I'm not a total idiot, being hired as a sys admin and completely self taught.

My honest opinion is it's the sheepish people too scared to think for themselves that often shy away from self exploration and trying to think outside the box. I almost think that we ought to question those people more than the multitude of people that pursue their curiosities in a constructive manner. /rantoff :rasta:

Well, first day of work and they didn't mention anything about the test. Wewt! No news is good news, or so I hear ;p Time to get back to my favorite past time! Thanks for all the help provided in this forum and hope that everyone out there can live free, and do what *they* feel is right.
