Look at this garbage, really upsets me on how they are now attacking medicinal marijuana users.

why don't they go and talk about Dr. Pat giving opiate painkillers out and how they don't cause a problem in this country.

this is fucking funny :
Truth is, marijuana is not just a plant. Marijuana smokers use the dried leaves of the plant called Cannabis sativa.

There are alternative FDA-approved medications for treatment of many of the symptoms that smoked marijuana is supposed to help. DEA and the FDA approved Marinolâ?˘, which is a safe medication that doctors prescribe for suffering patients.

Now correct me if i'm wrong, but isnt marinol a synthetic thc?

In another study, researchers concluded that 49.7 percent of the marijuana using students aged 12â??17 responding to the survey reported that they had engaged in violent behavior during the past year.

and that stat means nothing, that means 49.3% of people using weed werent violent, so what? some people are violent and some arent. i bet if you did the same study with people who didnt smoke weed it'd be the same

stuff like this pisses me off to an extent that I almost want to lead a guerilla warfare rebellion against these medieval laws.

Maybe we should make a website very similar to this one (in its style of graphics and everything) but only argue the opposite side of everything they have said. It's chock full of so much bull shit that I could smell it before I even clicked on the link.

there are many sites like that the most prominent being www.norml.org for all your medical and legal questions and advocates. 4gan you have a good point that I was going to make if someone didn't. I will elabore however ;

It is funny that our money grubbing government and pharmaceutical companies can CREATE synthetic forms of the drug in order to make a PROFIT while still keeping ALL forms of MJ illegal, even though regular vaporized marijuana works just fine, hmm something fishy going on here dont ya think?

Your right on the money

MARINOL® (dronabinol) is a synthetic version of a naturally occurring compound known
as delta-9-THC. Delta-9-THC stimulates appetite and reduces nausea and vomiting by binding to special receptors found in your nervous system.

Thats from the www.marinol.com web site

I thought this was funny when they were explaining how dangerous driving high is.

"According to a study by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a driver under the influence of alcohol and marijuana took an additional 46 yardsâ??almost half the length of a football fieldâ??to react to other drivers' changes. (Marijuana and Alcohol Combined Increase Impairment, NHTSA, June, 1999)."

Notice the test subject was drunk and stoned. Perhaps it was more the alcohol impacting his poor driving.

I drove a lot less drunk than stoned, yet I've been pulled over twice drunk (never got a DUI), yet have never been pulled over stoned. I suppose it suggests I drive good enough high.

The first word I read after clicking the "read more link" is "the DEA". Ha! What a shocker there. Why is it that there propoganda is more ridiculous than anyone else's? All of their "facts" could be debunked instantly. Even a child would be able to make recognization of how blown out of proportion they've turned this into, even if it were true.

hmmm.. I could have sworn I made a reply to this thread earlier, and now I don't see it here. Maybe I just forgot to hit the submit button or something.. lol.

What I basically said was I was seriously considering making the website I mentioned earlier now. I could probably make the website in a matter of weeks. You guys think that would actually be safe though to go against government-funded websites in that fashion?

Also, since when do people die FIVE DAYS after taking a drug (Ecstacy, at that)? Anyone read that story? It sounded like utter bullshit all the way through.
