Hey wats goin on guys i'm new to tha forum and our culture, but yea anyway just started getting up on tha art of rolling fine blunts. I'm getting pretty good and dudes down here always use filters in blunts, but back home i never saw people use filters (I go to tha U, From New York tho). So far i've been rolling with, but I was wondering wat do you guys think is better, with or without a filter, and if you dont use filters do you do anything to tha mouth-end once you roll it, for sturdiness? Thanks.

If you pack it tight enough you should be able to smoke it with out a filter.
Just squeeze down the mouth end so it doesnt fallout.
When its getting closed to your mouth put it in a pipe or bong.
My idea's anyway. :)

Filter? I ain't no bitch.
LMAO!
Over here in the UK filters are the norm, I guess we are all bitches :rasta:
But most people smoke it with tobacco here so there you go.
I've been enjoying blunts since Amsterdam when I was introduced to one by one of you fine upstanding Americans. We rolled a few grams of what we had - all nice weed from the gray area into a nice big blunt. A quality introduction.
I say no filter, but maybe a small roach at the end for noobs - my finding here anyway :) Most guys here in the UK that I know think blunts are an excessive waste of weed.
Now they are bitches ;)
Do you mean filter or roach?
A cylindrical peice of card?

we usually put filters in our blunts, but mainly because they give shotties way easier than a blunt without one. It comes out so straight and perfect, it's just too good to pass up.

Well gentlemen... ive honestly have to say ive never heard of a "filtered blunt" i dont see how there is one... ive been rolling blunts for about 3 years now... and when i roll them i dont see how u could shove some kind of cardboard in it.... Just roll it tight and nice and theres no need my friend... By the way with Delta Uk 9 comment thats funny how in the UK they think its a waste of weed for ablunt... :( ahh.. anyway its standard here to when u and ur buddies just have a dime or a few grams that its standard it must be all rolled up into a blunt no questions.. :D

none of my friend use roaches, but i do when i roll because i find theres always some asshole whos slobs all over the end of the blunt, making it impossible to pull on it with out almost making yourself passout. just makes it easier imo

I never use a roach on blunts, but I do fold the paper over to double it up before I roll it. Check out Bluntology 101 in my signature for pics. If you double the paper up at the tip it helps keep it from being a salad shooter and also stiffens it up so it always stays open. :rasta:

A properly rolled blunt should require no filter. A trick for the novice is to buy a cheap cigar cutter from a tobacco shop for a couple bucks. Cuts nice, flat ends that hit well.

jus wanted to thank everyone for they responses. More responses / opinions are still extremely welcomed, but I just wanted to take this oppertunity to thank all those who responded to my question. All of your advice was well taken. As for now i like rolling with a roach/filter (jus a piece of cardboard not a real filter like some of u guys took it as), but I continue to explore and stay inventive with my rolling so maybe my preference will evolve. Peace and Love :rasta:
A roach [Piece of rolled up card] imporves a joint 100 fold. The hit is bigger, smoother and you dont waste any weed.
Although, as for blunts, i dont put one in.
But if were going to talk about this subject, can we all call it a roach, and not a filter, as a filter is found on a cig, and a roach doesnt filter anything :D

Are we talkin about a filter like on a cigarette or a rolled up piece of card (roach)? I don't get why people in the states don't use roaches, the end gets all slobbery and you have to toke hard to get a big blast if you don't have a roach.
not if you smoke it right man

lol I knew someone would say something like that:)
it's just the truth. filters fuck with the taste, and end up wasting a small amount of thc. I just use a solid little chunk of bud at the end, and smoke it right, so im left with a little highly resinated mininugget.

I'm still debating if I wanna roll my first blunt, which is going to be tomorrow night ;) with a Roach or not
we call them crutches here. roach is a joint or blunt when it is burned down to the point where it is hard to hit without burning your fingers, filter is the thing on the end of cigarettes
