I think that if Kinky really wanted to help Texas he would have joined forces with Chris Bell. They would have easily won if they became allies.

I was going to vote for Kinky, but now I'm starting to think that he's in the running JUST for publicity. If he had a progressive goal in mind he should have just joined Bell.

Any thoughts?

My thoughts exactly. I still may vote for Kinky but even if you and I did, honestly do you think he has a chance.

I agree wholeheartedly. Kinky's now pulling a Ralph Nader and staying in there only for ego-publicity reasons. It'd be better if he were out. I'll cast my vote for Bell, but with both Strayhorn and Friedman still in there, he doesn't really have a chance.

Hey, Bob. What we can do is use the board's chat function above and then do a PM in there. I will probably be on in the morning around 9:30 a.m. central time. If you get this and would like to do that, I'll plan to meet you up in chat and I can PM you. If not, I'll be back on tomorrow night, probably about the same time--9:30 or so. We can aim for that if you're not online in the morning. I don't have AIM and have Yahoo IM deinstalled at the moment.

That is the common BS propaganda coming from the other campaings...
Look at all this stuff from his campaigne
The most comprehensive plan for financing our public schools.

The most aggressive renewable energy plan of any candidate for governor.

The only candidate with a comprehensive political reform agenda.

The most detailed plan for getting every man, woman and child in Texas the health care they deserve

A tough stance on immigration. Kinky made our border security an issue in this campaign

A tough stance on crime in urban areas

A tough stance on the governor's new business tax

And tough stances on toll roads, stem cell research, the rights of hunters and fishermen, a woman's right to choose, property taxes, state spending caps, prison reform, decriminalization of marijuana, appraisal caps, state park funding and preservation and more.

I would suggest actually reading his stances...and the new health care plan...

Chris Bell may be a nice guy but he is way too liberal...if he wanted to make a difference maybe he should have dropped out of the race instead of telling kinky to...hes the last place canidate...

the point isn't to win. liberatarians have been running for years. the point is: the more votes he receives this year the more federal funds he receives next year. but then again he's an independant.
i can't stand when people say that candidates should join forces, that would defeat the whole person of a guy like kinky running in the first place.
it's funny though, pbs here ran 2 hour segments the week prior to elections on bell, friedman, grandma, and perry and i watched them all.
the thing is, i couldn't figure out a single candidates stand on any issues afterwards. it's almost like they avoided talking about it? maybe i just have a bad memory.
in lighter news, i like candy.
