Accumulating Resin in Smoking Pieces.

Hello.

Well, the last several months of constant blazing has led to my bubbler and pipes accumulating an insane amount of resin. Now, with a solid steel wire, I can easily extract the resin from the stem and pipes. So far I've cleaned quite a bit out - but my question is: how do I go about processing it? Up to now, I've been scraping all the resin off into a small plastic container, and hopefully will soon be able to use it but do I need to dry it, or do anything in particular etc.. etc..?

Also, the bubbler has many areas that are out of reach, but have resin buildup. Is there any way to clean it out? I'd preferably like to keep the resin but if it can just be cleaned I'd be happy.

no they wont work because the bubbler's bottom is essentially a sphere since it's composed of three main chambers - all spherical. since the bottom bowl is the biggest, it is difficult to get the sides since the opening is so narrow.

put your piece in a pot and bowl the water, the resin will float to the top.. use a coffee strainer and then dry the resin.

Hot water, Isopryl 90% alcohol, shake, rinse repeat.

and you can just smoke the resin, no need to process it

There's a whole sticky on resin at the top of this forum that I'm assuming you read before you posted this...

You can clean it out with nail polish remover, isopropyl, hot water, but you probably won't be able to use it after that. If you do want to smoke it then you'll have to scrape it out unless you just boil it and strain it like Jaycub said. They also sell some cleaners for bongs and such but again, you wouldn't be smoking it afterwards.

As far as smoking it goes, what you see is what you get. There's no processing for resin that I've ever heard of, just scrape that shit up and load it in your bowl or what ever, maybe on top of a little bud or some ash.

hmmm, i know that if you use 90% alchohol pour a bit in the piece after youve scraped most of it, shake it around for a while then dump it out onto a plate and set fire to it, repeat until your piece/s are clean and then let everything dry you can smoke the resin after youve scraped everything off with the razor from a box cutter, ive been doing it for years and the resins just like if you scraped it

i used to use a spoon and put resin in it, heat it from the bottom with a lighter for a few secs, then use ur fingers to roll the res up into a ball (quickly cuz ull get burned)

i quit that after my motha found a burnt spoon

I just bought my first bowl and used it twice. I'm bothered by the fact that my bowl is no longer in mint condition. :(

Just out of curiosity Grava Flave, you didn't put the spoon back in the drawer surely? I mean, you kept it hidden for later use and she just stumbled upon it?
