Right, ive searched for the answers im looking for but can't find them....I have planted some seeds in 6 x 6 x 6 pots using compost. I put a small splash of water each day and am growing them in a large cardboard box with a standard 60 watt lamp. Nothings happened, I'm guessing its due to the lamp....
Any help would be appreciated, Cheers.

is that light a regular household bulb?

if so it wont work once your plants sprout its a useless light get a couple of CFL(energy savers) bulbs the biggest you can find those will work

Well i started off growing like that only i got a 100 watt lamp but it wasnt cfl's you would like to get some cFL's at walmart i got some 3 100 watts were 8 bucks and they had 150 watt singles for like 5 bucks you'll notice some growth then. though with the 100 watt bulb i got growth out out of mines it could be the wattage . Also could be how far you put the seed down in the dirt. Hard to sprout when it's to deep down. Made that mistake. i started off with 7 plants now i'm down to three all due to little mistakes but hey its all a learning process.

when did y plant em? did y germinate em first? n if y didnt how far down did y bury em?

the soil needs to be moist not wet so be careful how much water u use
