It's an english thing. Many people belive its too bulk out the weed, save weed and make the joint burn slower.

In actualy fact, we put a very small amount of baccy in the joint, with plenty of weed. It stops it running, and therfore makes it a perfect burning joint.

If like me, and many others you know how to do it properly, you cant taste the baccy at all.

This is TOTALLY subjective...but I find when smoking a joint (I'd never do this with a pipe of any sort) the tobacco can help, much the way I find smoking a cigarette after a joint of any sort (mixed or not) can "help" the buzz along.

Different strokes for different folks maybe? I dunno, that's just my personal experience. However, if it's some really excellent bud, I won't do this, because of the concern you bring up about altering the flavour.

They were trying to use propoganda to say its the cannabis which is bad and not the tobacco. If u use google etc. and do ur own reaserch ull find im quite correct saying the cannabis only opens the lungs to the tobacco damage, and hasn't been proven to cause the damage on its own.

I agree with you, LIP...I for a fact know that cannabis does open small airways; the ones that tobacco smoke constricts...

You saw you guys use tobacco in joints...have you or anyone you know ever experienced withdrawal from tobacco due to ceasing to smoke cannabis..laced with tobacco? Just something I'm curious about...cause when I quit smoking cigarettes..even when just smoking one or two a day, I still had withdrawal effects for a week or two..

I always used to roll a very small amount of tobacco with my joints, and i used to smoke 40 cigs a day on top of that. When i quit cigs i just started rolling pure joints. I had cravings for ages, but not for tobacco in joints, just for the cigs themselves.

As for the whole "7x" thing, besides that study reeking of being government-controlled like all the propaganda in the US drug war, cannabis is a natural expectorant (opens your bronchial tubes and makes you cough, forcing phlegm and shit out of your lungs). Tobacco isn't. I can't see any way that cannabis would actually have a synergistic effect with tobacco in terms of increasing your chances of cancer.

But yeah, regardless, tobacco ain't that great.

I also quit smoking that nasty tabbaco shit 2 weeks ago and I am so happy that I did but no way in hell ill quit smoking cannabis. I will never put tabacco in a joint or blunt because its just nasty and ruins the taste of the weed and I could be getting more high if the joint was nothing but bud...

i get about 8 j's out of one cig just so it smokes better it works good if you mix the weed with the baccy before i roll it an you cant tatse it at all.

what lip said about using it to bulk it out a bit is true but i use it for the smoke if find that some weed doesn't burn that good when its pure.:rastasmoke: :hippy:
