So i heard the most retarded thing come out a cops mouth last night

Well first off my brother whom is 16 was at his friends apartment with some other people, chillin smokin weed, yanno the ususal when from what i heard the story as, the cops come banging on the door, they werent playing loud music or having a huge party or anything, so the cops get inside and there is beer cans everywhere inside (they werent drinking, the owners just never clean) and to make a long story short they broke my brothers pipe (glass) and his bong (plastic) with there nightstick...
then i get a call about 11:30 saying i need to come pick up my brother or hes going to jail so i go over there and realize the situation, of course its retarded, and the cop told me yanno yea there smoking pot, i can smell it when i walked in, and the cop goes, (this is what he said word for word) "sir if you want to know if your brother has been smoking cannabis all you have to do is shine a light and look in his throat because the green in marijuana dyes the taste buds near the back of the throat green and his inside of the mouth will have a green tint" well he shines the light down his throat..."nope he hasnt been smoking marijuana tonight" and by this time im trying as hard as i can to look this cop straight in the eye and not laugh my ass off, cause you can look him in his eyes and tell hes stoned, whereas my brothers gf who doesnt smoke WAS supposedly smoking marijuana cause she had a green tint.....thats about it

I almost wonder if that cop was pulling your leg or else he was truly a dumb guy who hadn't had any drug training. All the police officers I know down here are trained to look at people's eyes and watch the subtle muscle movement changes that occur with the effects of cannabis, particularly as someone tries to track something visually (like the tip of a finger). For coke and meth, they can often tell by pupillary reaction along with behavioral changes. It's the same training they gave us as paramedics, and it didn't in any way involve looking in people's throats. Fortunately--or perhaps not so fortunately--not all cops are so dumb. If it makes you feel any better, most reasonably intelligent cops wish weed were legal, too, because they know it's nothing in comparison to other more dangerous drugs. Still, they're paid to enforce the laws that are on the books now.
