It was a gift from Vietnam this spring.
Yes, that's a cobra with a pit viper in it's mouth.
I have drank from it and it is wicked.
google vietnamese snake wine. There are many pics on the web. That image I just did this afternoon on my scanner.

Getting drunk on wine requires little to no effort, because of it's easy drinking taste. That's my main use for it..

I have only tried wine once it tasted like ass. I was hoping it would taste like grape juice but I was so wrong.

My whole mothers' side of the family brews...
but that does look like something different.. rice wine with a fermenting snake? said to cure many ailments, etc.
Do you eat the snake when your done like the worm in the Mescal bottle? lol :D j/p

Never much cared to drink it myself. It's not bad, I'd just rather have a beer given the choice. I use wine all the time to cook though. I don't care what kind it is or where it came from as long as it's white or red.

That Vietnamese snake wine looks scary. i watched a guy on TV, a Travel Channel host I like a lot, Anthony Bourdain, try some once when he was in Vietnam. He said it was very strong--like moonshine--and with a bitter edge.
Give me a nice glass of Pinot Noir. That's more my style.

snake wine is illegal in the US and most other parts of the world because the snakes that are used in making the wine are endangered, not that i really care, but goodluck trying to find some
