Hey I just started a few plants from seed i got from some pretty good bud my friends smoked. I started them in Miracle gro dirt. Is that good dirt to use? My lighting is not that good i know i have a couple of flouresent grow lights like a total of 5 with about 70watts each. I am working on getting an hps and mh. But sense my light isn't that great i give the plants 24hours of light for now. especially sense they are in the vegative stage right now. How long is the vegative stage? And can i keep it in that stage for longer than required to increase the width and lengths of the plants? I was thinking about a total of 8 weeks 24/0. I just started day 1. And by week 3 i will have at least a 400 watt hps or mh. What light is best for getting the plant huge? I know that hps is best for flowering. But is hid or mh best for getting the plant big in vegative stage?
