k ive always just made something to smoke out of whenever i was smoking either a quick bong or pipe out of house hold items but i really wanna get a glass piece. My local head shop has some nice heavy glass pipes but they seem abit expensive to me at 50 bucks for a 4 inch pipe. problem is i dont really wanna go threw a website because i want to be able to at the least hold the piece before i buy it. can someone tell me a reasonable price for a 4-5 inch glass spoon or you can punch me in the head and say 50 bucks is a steal and ill go get it lol.

Second off, not sure what your prices are usually like around where you live, but around me, a 4 inch glass piece would only be $24.99. My steel pipe cost me $7.99. Go buy the piece though, you won't regret it when you're baked off your ass proper and clean. And don't forget to buy screens!

...all depends, if its the only shop you have access to then it may be your best chance at a quality piece. I know around my town there are a good 4-5 shops and the prices fluctuate drasticly. I have a realy nice pyrex piece thats about 4.5" in length and its indestructable (been dropped many times) and I only paid like $20 for it. I say shop around, you can definatly do better if there are more places to shop. If not buy what you feel comfortable with. If you spend $30 on a "nice" pipe that turns out to be thin and easy to break off the internet you will just be looking for a new pipe soon after (and end up spending even more money than you had to.

I was at the local tradecenter the other day and this man was selling a glass pipe that looked amazing, to me. Others might not agree, but it was so bulky and thick, but the actual bowl and whatnot were of reasonable size and it was priced about $80. I'm determined to go there and buy it this weekend. Even if it is a rip-off since I don't know much about glass and the costs, I would still pay knowing this will be my first and it's something I would cherish forever.

Haha, yeah. It is a good feeling of accomplishment. I was pretty damn happy when I got my second piece. I say that cause I barely used my first piece and it was kinda crappy. A great spoon...but was about 1inch long and very tiny. Synched my eyebrows/bangs on 2 occasions.

If the pipe is a good thickness, $50 is a fair price. I paid like $48 for mine, it's inside out and real thick. Think quality. Glass doesn't flex or show any signs of breaking until it's shattered on the ground. Go for thickness and durability:thumbsup:

fuck screens, if you are gonna buy a glass pipe a screen would nullify the point of glass. ask your friends where they'd reccomend. but any price is worth it for a good glass pipe, because you can use it forever.

Obviously you've never been around the northeast of the US, specially the Boston area. They say "wicked" every other sentence, and as a result, I do too.

I have a wicked cool glass piece that I got off my friend for $25. It's all cool colored, thick, and hits nice, he used it twice before he sold it to me, I have had it forever :D

I bought a nice 5inch glass a few weeks ago for $19.99. I live in southern cali, seems itd be more expensive here. & the about screen, usually you dont shove a screen into a glass piece, its just not right :( , but i guess its just preference.

Dude, I know! As far as speing the 50 on the bowl... it depends. Like the glass one I got couple weeks ago cost me around $44. But it's close to 5 inches long and weighs 4.2 ounces. It's a really strong. I love it!

i mean nullify as in ruin the taste of the weed. the point of glass is so you are only smoking weed, and only get the taste of weed. screens are hard to clean, get clogged easier, and are mainly just a bitch. if you get a decent glass pipe, you won't need a screen

Yeah even though my bowl has a big hole at the bottom, I just cram big nugs in as tight as possible. It works fine.

screens are a matter of preference, I am currently using metal screens in all of my pieces. I used to use a glass screen, it lasted two years, but I dropped it down the drain in my sink and was too high to get it out. I haven't had a chance to get a new one yet but I am still a proponent of screens. Simply because I can't stand ashy weed in my mouth, which will occur in all screen-less pipes during a smoking session. I use a screen in both the pipes below, although I don't have the spoon hand pipe anymore, screens (glass or metal) were essential to it's use.

Ok not so much with the bubbler but I would hate to see even the smallest bit of product disposed in the liquid below, so a screen is still vital.

I bought a regular pipe before I knew any better and now I wish I had a bubbler. I'm too stubborn to go buy one though :)
