Lost my second female...it was much bigger than this one, but oh well. Does this seem to be an acceptable plant? I know the pictures aren't that great but you can distinguish what it is..sorry for quality. 2 26w 2700k CFL's, 1 23w 6500k CFL, 2' plant and aquarium fluoro...and that's all I wanted to swing for lighting.

from what i can tell of the pics it looks very healthy. It also looks like the intranodal space is pretty small, which means an abundance of bud sites. Keep up the good work!

mark, you're gonna need more light. 70w of flouro's won't produce anything beyond a stick plant and you're doing damn good to get as far as you have! next time, if you're still using flouro's, keep the plants short and the lights right on top of them (well, an inch or so above) but you will still need a lot more lights. you'll need more intensity to get a yield worth the time and effort. save your money, buy standard 'shop lights' if you must stay with flouro's. they're only 15-18 bucks and another 5 bucks or so for the pig tail (most don't come with the plug because they're usually straight-wired into the ceiling...so don't forget the pigtail! and a couple wire nuts for each light.
but an hid makes a big diff and should be on your shopping list if you are serious about getting involved with gardening...

Yeah, I'm aware about the lighting issue. This is my first grow, and I used the cheapest method that I could find..clamp lights and CFL's...I have my bud sites covered quite well with light..and am rather curious what I'm going to end up with. High quality seeds will be up for next time, and I plan on getting a 125w cfl grow light as well. I haven't given much effort to this grow, and was shooting for the cheapest simplest way to get some flowers from this plant, and total costs are about $30 for my efforts this time.

TGT, a rather stupid mistake caused it..I'm using a tension bar to clamp my top 2 lights on, and one afternoon when I got home I was adjusting lights a bit and moved the bar wrong and it and the lights came crashing down on my girls..it broke the biggest one about six inches from the top and then about mid-way down the plant..it was the biggest one.

Other than that, my grow's been going rather well. I've learned so much from using these boards...haven't really made any noob mistakes other than dropping the damn lights..Thanks for advice and info that has been given to me and that has yet to be given to me by everyone..

I'll keep anyone who cares posted about how things go:) :stoned: :stoned:
