My grow room is at 86F (30 Celcius) and might still be increasing, I have two 1000 w MH which is alot for my grow room, which is about 7'5" x 9'5" x 9', but i have strong airflow from outside. the problem is if the air is hot outside then i am blowing hot air into my grow room. i think i should just run 1 1000w light over all of them insteaded of 1 on each half. any support is needed
thanks

86F is good any higher than that you might get hermies. Some alternatives are ; try making cool tubes for ur lights/get CO2 / get an A/C or like u said go for 1 light n see what happens. You could also try to get some CFLs along with 1 MH.

you may want to look into vented hoods regardless if its 88F outside the bulb is close to 1500F on the glass surface

air ciruclated hoods that vent outside the grow room, great investment probably the best one too. however ur grow room will only be as cool as the air going in. so u might need an a/c, my room hit 90 all summer as a high but now its cooling down so its only 80. and at night its 68 so do what u have to but 86F isnt too bad of a temp. for lights on. u def dont want to break 90F, like stated u might get some hermies.

I bought a little swamp cooler for $90, it dropped my temps 5-10 degrees and kept my humidity 40-65%...the hotter and drier the better they work.

even if the ambient temperature is high, it is still a LOT cooler than the lamp itself ... just think, if the plant was outdoors, in Mexico, Columbia, Thailand, etc.., it would be growing in 100+ degrees ... heat alone does NOT cause hermies, or every landrace strain would have died out thousands of years ago ... it is BEST to keep temps around 75, but not a matter of life-or-death ... :smokin:
