On my 2 grows (present & future)

I've currently got 3 7 week old babies, two little girls and one undetermined. They've been on 24/0 under 7 26W CLFs and 1 42W CFL from both above and on the sides to promote bushier growth. They're beautiful, I'll post pics when I get my camera working. I phased them down by adding an extra hour of darkness every day until they were on 12/12. On one of the little girls who just showed her sex, I noticed when I was untying the top nodes (they have been topped once and LST'd since) that the stem on either side was broken off, held on only by a small bit of growth. These are significant shoots though, which 3 or 4 nodes on each. I re-tied them in a position that reconnects the broken stems to the main stem as much as possible. . . will this heal itself? or should I just remove the branches? Should I worry about shocking my little girl hermie?

Also, for my next grow I decided to get things out of my closet & into a cabinet which is almost complete. I took an old bookshelf (3'x3'x1') and used the shelves to fit over the back (pictures of this coming soon also). In the middle of the back I used a dual-window fan with one fan for exhaust & one for intake. I just need to put doors on the front & Lights in the top. I'll be going with CFLs on the top & sides of the cabinet, which will fit 3 plants comfortably. Am I missing anything? I'm new to cab growing & just made something up myself out of what I had around, I'll post pictures soon but from the descriptions I gave, what do you guys think about my grow & plans for my future grow?
