Hey guys,
I'm new here and gonna try out Salvia for the very first time with a friend. Ive read quite a bit on it and can't wait! I ordered 3 ounces of 10x. What do I need to smoke it? I've never use a pipe before so if anyone could walk me through how to smoke it, I'd appreciate it.

also, doesnt matter what kind of pipe/bong you use, glass would be best, followed by wood. NEVER METAL!!! just put the salvia in the bowl, light and toke, then hold it in for a while, then you trip :thumbsup:

But if your first smoking experience is with salvia, you're going to be fucked clean out of your skull. And the best part is that you will be so fucked up you won't even understand that you don't realized how fucked up you are because you fucking don't know whats going on except like for real this time. I smoked it once and it was the shit. i smoked 40x and trust me its like your on shrooms for a minute. only bad thing was i was sweating so bad afterwards, just have a wet towel or something incase you get overheated. It'll only last a minute or two and for about 5 minutes you'll be kinda out of it. after that its like you never did it.

oh and how to smoke it just take it out of the bag, put it in the bowl part and lightly pack it down, but not to hard. if you got a clear hole ( hole on the left or right side next to the bowl part) cover it with your thumb. put the light to the bowl, light the salvia and inhale. hold the flame over it for a couple of seconds until it is roasting. take a good size hit and release your thumb, hold your shit in as long as you can( when smokin salvia) then you'll be good.

lol, salvia is great once you get the handle of the drug..

your first couple times will feel like your slapping your chest; the "i = retarded" trips.

but after a few times (doesnt have to be the same day, some ppl can take many grams over weeks/month) you'll catch rise to it and finally get the 'feel'

Lol, I never said not to smoke it. The shit is crazy, and you should definitely try it, but its not the same thing as weed, its not something you do and then go do stuff on. When you smoke salvia you smoke salvia and thats about it. Its more of a thing in and of itself than something that enhances other stuff. Smoke it in a room that is un-evenly lit with lots of shadows, that always seems to fuck with my vision the most on salvia. Or smoke it outside on a really clear night and lay back and look at the stars. But good luck even remembering why you're outside once you hit the pipe :D

The last time i did it, i was still heavily into other drugs. Every single drug i've ever done gave me a high.

When I did the salvia, i was slapping myself (mentally) going "Why oh why couldn't I just do a drug that got me high? Or a drug that makes me think different?" Salvia didn't make me think different, it made me different.

Sweeeeet. Yea I've smokeed weed out of a pipe and joints but not water pipe. I thought you're supposed to use a water pipe for salvia. If so, how do you use a water pipe?

One last thing. Might be a stupid question, but is there an exipration date for this? I'm sure I'll have a lot left over so can I store this for months and months?

i would recommend for your first time to try salvia by itself. ive mixed meed wit salvia and thats crazy shit but it made me feel a little uncomfortable.

you can use a pipe or a bong i use a pipe and dont worry bout expiration itll last for as long as you want.

The first time i smoked savlia I bought some down in Austin while I was going to the Flamingo Cantina for live reggae night. I had heard you trip fuckin nuts so I didn't want to freak out in a club around a lot of ppl I didn't know, so we mixed it about half and half with some decent nugs we had and smoked it. It is pretty fucking cool actually, you don't get the salvia "trip" at least I didn't, I just got this really nice dream-like high feeling all night. It made everything seem so surreal. Try it.

i did 25x and had an out of body experience. and you don't need a water piece, or a torch lighter. put some of the base leaf down in the bowl and put some salvia on top of that. then take it all in in one hit and hold

So last weekend I tripped VERY hard on shrooms.....was watching Next Friday, and lets just say it felt like I was in the friggin movie. I'm not a big psychadelic fan due to the ego-loss and the "Oh my god" aspect of it. So I probably wouldn't like Salvia huh? In some aspects, salvia is just teasing you. It gives you a small little sample of what LSD is like, lasting only a few minutes.

It's better to use a water pipe when you smoke it because it's so harsh, but go ahead and smoke from a pipe if your lungs can handle it. It's kind of gross either way though.

Salvia is alright if there's no weed around I guess, but it's just too short to be enlightening or fun. Gimme my LSD any day. ~

Just smoke it and find out for yourself. ;) You will see the before effects of any of stimulant will become obsolete once you smoke salvia.

Use a bong, get a screen for the bowl....get a torch lighter...and smoke it.
Also yeah it is a good idea to have others around..that aren't fucked up anymore from it or didn't smoke it at all.
..and don't try to stand up, definitly do it sitting down...and stay there..

DO NOT smoke pot before you try salvia, it will make salvia's effects more intense and longer lasting, and if this is your first time trying salvia, you want the effects to be short.

If you mean alcohol buzzed, yes it is a good idea for your first try, as it will make the experience weaker and easier to handle. After this first time, you will have an idea of what salvia is like, and then will be able to try it without booze.

I want to try this, but I dont want to fuck with my brain. I'm guessing the experiences are strong enough to have to thinking about them for hours/days after. I dunno...still debating. Like i said before, I dont see how something could fuck with you more than the mushrooms with the powers. lol.....help me decide...i know i should decide for myself but i cant lol.

I had a friend who took some 35X from me and gave it to his friends without telling them what it was and one of them ate a cigarette, then just walked around like a ghost-like look on his face until he came back.

There is no drug that i've done that can even compare to the hallucinations you will expereince on salvia.

According to research on salvia, they dont even know what part of the brain it affects. Whereas most hallucinogens affect a specific part of your brain.

Salvia is still legal mostly due to the fact that you can't do anything while you're on it besides freak out. Maybe if some fucktard smoked a bowl of 40X while on a rooftop and ended up killing themself then they would make it illegal, so be safe when you try it, it IS a drug and the MOST POWERFUL DRUG KNOW TO MAN, no im not kidding, salvinorin-a is more psychoactive per microgram than LSD, and any other known chemical besides the ones already present in your brain naturally.


Have a clear head and dont have a purpose in mind when you do salvia, because it will throw you off in a random direction and so it's pointless to try and set parameters or control your trip. Just remain calm and if you get scared just realize that no matter how long it seems like you are tripping, you will come down in about 15 min TOPS.

It may seem like a few million years but thats all part of the trip, it sends your concious mind to a place where time and even space are non existant. I saw the birth and death of the universe and the meaning of reality (not what you think it is at all) and the very core of ..... all i can call it is "this" and it was all before my very eyes (not that i saw it but i understood it) while i sat on my living room sofa unable to move for less than 10 min.

Personally, I find the trip itself FAR too short to experience anything worth taking out of it. It's fun, yes, but to think you actually come out of it enlightened is something I have yet to experience, and don't think I ever will. Don't get me wrong, it's amazing to smoke it and then 20 seconds later be in another dimension, but before my mind can adjust to it and start exploring, the trip's over. Salvia is similar to magic mushrooms in the way they change your psychology and can make you VERY introspective (this is why it isn't a party drug) but the hallucinations aren't the same at all, salvia throws you out into the viod of space and reveals things that were never there and have never been seen or experienced by normal people, it can help you understand your own mind, and how the mind works and how delicate everyone's perception of reality is.

Try it and you wont regret it, it's not addictive but you do want to smoke more as soon as you start coming down because its so short and the urge is really big but if you wait 5 min you wont want to do it again for another week or so.


Any questions on salvia? Id be happy to try and answer them, I've done everything up to 45X because after that it gets really expensive. So i have a ton of experiences on salvia so dont hesitate to ask anything. You should feel as comfortable as possible before you try it and it will be much better for you.

Every time I've done salvia i've ripped it out of a huge bong when i'm alright high as shit and let me just say it fucks your world up... every time i've done it i've thought i was being sucked into or toward something... first time i thought i was being sucked into a bed and couldn't pull myself away from it no matter how hard i tried.. another time as soon as i took my hit my friend who was already tripping after his hit was like why'd you guys let him do it at the same time as me?! (he was hinting at the fact that it's harder to control two people tripping nuts than it is one.) but as soon as he said that my hit kicked in and i thought that the reason he said it was because if you smoke salvia at the same time as someone else your souls get sucked together and you form a new being and so i felt myself being pulled towards him but since i was laying down i just layed there... it sounds pretty bad but at the time that all this is going on you're just sitting there laughing uncontrollably and have no clue what the hell is going on.. i didn't pay any attention to the other people in the room.. and as Its a Plant said... You'll reach the peak within 5 minutes or less. From then on out, it's intensity significantly decreases, and you sorta 'come down' for like 20 minutes or so.

So really that site's kind of misleading, because it lasts all of 4-5 minutes, but *technically* you can still feel a slight buzz afterwords.

5X is a weed like buzz for 10 min

10X is a little stronger, usually no vivid hallucinations just a heavy body high with weird thoughts.

15X minor hallucinations, i did this and it felt like gravity shifted and the left wall was my floor, and the air turned into giant water droplet shaped globules. very weird. i think it all happened this way simply because when i started tripping i unconsciously leaned left and my chair had rollers and was slowly moving to the left. but i felt like gravity was pulling me to the wall instead of the floor.

20X-30X I was on a black ferris wheel, and the room i was in disappeared, i was on the 2nd floor and so it felt like i was suspended in blackness and the bottom on the blackness was the ground about 20 feet below me, and that i was revolving up and down on it, when i started coming back i realized i was laughing hysterically, and that i had been rambling about nothing for a good 5 minutes straight. it was wild and i had to hold on cause i was flying by the seat of my pants.

40X+ things became other things, the wall turned into nothing with a giant galaxy of white swirly points of light and shapes and meaning. i was sitting on my sofa, and my sofa was on the floor, which was slowly disintegrating toward me and beyond that was blue-black void with white and light-blue points of light. up against the wall were bookcases that flickered in and out of reality at their own will.

i was stuck to the sofa so i couldn't do much, and i didn't really want to because i didn't know if i would fall off into space, every different thought was its own segment of reality with its own world that was only associated with what it was associated with, for example the room i was in was familiar, but the concept of outside the room or other rooms in my house were gone, i was where i was and there was nowhere else, because its all a concept when you're not in it. how do you know that outside exists? because you've been there? but you can't prove it exists without going there so for the time when you arent there, it only exists in your mind. it has a placeholder, like a though or a mental image. salvia can distort and mess with that tho.



the things you experience on salvia can NOT be integrated into normal reality, the connections between our world and our world on salvia can show you some neat things about reality though.


i know that makes very little sense. but you'll understand once you try salvia.

also the interesting asset that salvia has and most other drugs dont is that every trip on salvia will most likely be RADICALLY different.

ive heard of people living out entire lifetimes in 2 minutes on salvia, ive heard of people melting into objects and walking through walls, so its quite the drug for a seasoned and adventurous psychonaut.

oh and no matter what extract you take it should last no more than 15 minutes of real time, and only vary in intensity not durration (very much)

10X will prepare you and you will be able to speculate what a harder trip will be like because the trip is like a wave it goes up very sharply, then you peak for about 1-3 minutes then you come down very fast in about 7-12 minutes

no you cant, well u can but the effects you get will be nothing compared to what its potential is.

you need to smoke it from a pipe, put about 1 pinch onto a small bud so that it doesnt get sucked thru the hole, KEEP THE LIGHTER ON THE SALVIA THE WHOLE TIME YOU INHALE, and make sure that you're burning the salvia with the yellow part of the flame not the blue part and not the heat.

It will hurt because its hot but tough it. it takes exactly 17 second for the salvinorin-a to absorb, so as a rule of thumb i hold it in for at least 20 seconds. but the great thing is you will feel the effects almost instantly, within 5 second you should be flying off into space ;) most of the time i start tripping before i even exhale.

if you have a torch lighter then its even better, just burn the shit out of the salvia and you get like 90% of the active chemical instead of 50-70% with a normal Bic lighter. You might want to use a bong or water pipe if you cant take the heat of the torch lighter and so you dont burn off the ciclia (small hairlike cleaning mechanisms of your lungs) and then you'll be able to hold it in longer anyways.

I recommend a sitter, but get someone who isn't an idiotic asshole, and tell them not to talk to you at all because it will trip you out most of the time and send you into a bad trip. When some fucktard starts going "WOOOOOAAH MAAAAAAAN YOU'RE FUCKED UP" and starts waving their hands and fingers in front of your face the usual urge i get is to hit them in the face, which is hard when you're on salvia. so get a cool person not a dillhole.

There's a few reputable sellers on eBay, but be careful and read thoroughly because some sellers are bullshit and don't even mention the strength. I recently purchased a gram of 20X for like 10$, which is a hell of a lot cheaper than at my local headshop, which sells for $25 a gram.
