I Got Busted

Wow....this was gay..i was asleep and all i know is my fucking door is knocked down and im grabbed and cuffed and hauled off.. just for a couple of seedlings.. it scared the shit out of me.. fucking cops ransacked my home..busted my door down while i was fucking sleeping.. took my seedlings and ..wow.. they took me to the police station just to be held for a few hours.. then got released on 1k bail.. court date 20th.. any clue what i might be charged with? i mean they where only a couple of seedlings..

This is exactly what happend
At 2:34 i awoke to my room door being smashed down and about 5-10 cops rushing in and tackleing me while im still in bed and cuffing me.. As they dragged me out of my room the cops went through everything in my room..as they dragging me through the house to the door i see the cops tearing up everything..cutting cushions and ripping through pillows.. i ask wtf is going on they ignore me.. they put me outside in a van and go back up into my room.. about an hour later i am taken to the police station with my 5 seedlings in thier pot... in thier hands.. they throw me into a holding cell and for about 2 hours i sat on a freezeing stone bench waiting...then they came in grabbed me and took me into a small room with a guy asking all sorts of questions like where did i get the seedlings/seeds and what i was going to do with it.....then after they got my prints and after about an hour or so in the holding cell i make bail.. i am free untill 20th of october on the court date...im flippin out.. i dont know how the cops found out bout my shit.. but im freaking

Did they present you with a search warrent? This sounds quite illegal! If you were ratted out they would still need a search warrent to enter your home. Do you live with your parents? Did they call the police? Or a roommate. What I am getting at, is, did someone you live with let them in?

They did have a search warrent.. it wasnt my rents/parents that called..all i know is everyone was asleep when it happend.. and they broke my rents door down too..

when they released you, they shuold have given you the front copy of the arrest report, and the bondsman's paper's should say. if you talked to the police at all, they will fuck you with it. you should also have a copy of the search warrent, and i list of seized items...cops can charge you with murder if they want, but they prob have you on manufacturing a controlled substance, plus poss and or poss witdcs, and some other shit...... get a lawyer, and most of it will get dropped, but i hope you didnt talk to them about shit. and the search warrent will state thier pc, even if it is total bs, which it usually is

Yeah dude ignore the dipshit posts it could have happened to lots of people. I live in a small town and they always use excessive force. My gf's mom was charged with breaking a restraining order from her ex-bf. Thing is she was invited by him.

Later that day six cops (thats pretty much all the police there are in town) show up at the house and want to escort her down to the police office. Then when her mother was extremely mad she apparently lightly pushed a female cop out of the way, who then rammed her into a wall hard enough to put 2 ft wide whole in it, and said she was charging her for assaulting an officer.

Later I found out they didn't have a warrant. Dipshits.

The moral of the story being police are prone to a group mentality that is rather frightening.

Sure there's something that can be done about it: abolish the police! Certainly people need protection, but there's no reason this couldn't be supplied by a voluntary collection of citizens (if fire protection can be handled like that, why not crime protection?). The problem with the police is that their job isn't really to protect you. Their job is to protect the state and enforce the rules of the state upon everybody. Their job is to arrest and help convict people of breaking these rules. You aren't going to be protected from harm if your interests (growing pot) conflict with the interests of the state (keeping alcohol and tobacco as people's drugs of choice).

The cop is in the interesting position of being a slave and a tyrant simultaneously. He is a kind of street mercenary. He must follow all the orders given down to him by the state unquestioningly, even when it tells him to do grossly immoral things like violently subdue drug users, prostitutes and other innocent, non-violent individuals. And at the same time, he must clamp down on everybody, assert his authority, and use the wide variety of tools at his disposal to help lock more people up in cages.

A friend of mine had his door busted down, and the only thing he could think of was to RUN.. and they held him at gunpoint, so at least you got off easy compared to a lot of police brutality that goes on.. What other way could they possibly do it? Its standard procedure in most cases.. a friend of mine heard the door being busted down while he was sleeping, and he tried to get out of there with his plants out the back but they had him at gun point before he could even have a chance. They can't give you notice, otherwise it would be too easy to destroy the evidence.

Number one rule for growing: don't tell anyone you are doing it. Theres no reason to, the only thing it does is create a possibility of getting caught. If you never say anything, nobody will know and you're in the clear.

What did you do to come up with the cash for the downpayment on a house? My woman bought her first house when she was like 22, but that was a long time ago and houses were much cheaper, and she had a good job. So like it's really crazy if cops actually bust into your house in the wee hours of the morning and shred your house up, and drag your ass out handcuffed. I mean, either somebody told them a tale about how dangerous you are and that there was a lot to find in your house, or you're making this up. The last time I watched Cops a team of maybe five SWAT or something like that busted a whole crack house full of junkies, and this was in full daylight, so I can't imagine how a teenage kid could get busted like you did. And why would cops do this stuff at night anyway, I would imagine that that would make it more difficult for them, and cause a major disturbance in the neighborhood. And what if somebody ran, unless they had a chopper they would be screwed. Sounds more like a military operation or...perhaps...the workings of an active imagination. He obviously spilled the beans to someone else, if not many others.. because cops don't just bust into random houses in the middle of the night and target a specific individual for cannabis cultivation. So theres something this guy isnt telling us. Not to mention, its a rare case they will bust through the door in the middle of the night like that just for "a couple seedlings" that "only you" knew about lol..
