Hey everyone. My grow space is 6' x 3' x 2'. I thought this would be plenty of space for one plant. I'm only day 8 into flowering and my plant is over 4' tall and the top of the bulb is at 5'. i tied the plant to the point where it's taking up every inch of space. is there anything else i could do.

Hey GV . I think in your case if I was you I would start tieing down my plant so that it can grow out instead of up. Within the next 2 weeks its going to get bigger, so work with what you've got. If you think it will exceed your space you should try and find a new spot for your girl or simply modify your grow room.
Trial&Error. You live and learn my friend, make sure you got more heigh next time.:stoned:

thanx weedhound.
i just spoke with someone that said their should be a product that stops growth, so i'm gonna do a little surfing and see what's up with that. As far as growing out, like i said "every inch of space". the thing pops out in my face every time i open the door.

Well, who ever assumed that there was a product out there for stopping growth isnt too bright. If the plant cant continue to grow, where are your buds? They need to grow.lol. Anyway GV I guess now in your case the only thing you can do is if you can modify, and if you cant find a different room else where for it.

I think he meant growing in size, however you're probably right. I found nothing.
Maybe i'll go buy some lumber and expand the space. Light proofing it is gonna be a bitch. I guess it's time for another trip to the home depot!

yeah, there's a product called Dr. Nodes. Its supposed to shorten internodes and stop vertical growth and increase lateral growth.

that is ridiculous. I agree with trvium that you don't want to start reversing your operations due to simple run-ins such as this. What ever happened to the natural cost free methods?
1. tie down plants that are too tall either to themselves or to the mesh pot they are in. It will increase stalk strength and nutrient flow since the plant is momentarily stressed. It will have to face its cola and remaining buds towards the light.
2. get air cooled exhaust venting from the light if you don't already have it and get the light very cool. Drop that sucka right down on top of your plants as close as possible so that the vertical growth slows or stops. The more light they get the less energy and space they will have to spend searching for it!
