one way is to continually top the plant so it grows into basically a bush
each tyme u top it it will grow two new heads

ok your speaker box is more then 2 ft tall right cause you have to include room for the lights

distance in between lamp and plant depends on what kind of lamps u r using...
before asking questions u need to give some more info about whats happening in your growing cabinet.

moved it to a bigger box today for some room to grow
any advice on how to make it better?
how big? any lamps in there? fans? reflective material? whats the temperature and humidity?
and when smbdy suggests u to use SEARCH button to find out about LST

it called LST its tying down the main cola even with the rest of the canopy use the search and search LST theres tons of info on it
u should definetly use it, before asking another question...

when should i tie it down still dotn understand fully but im still lookin on how to

dooner i took some pictuers that might help you out alot..
i also am doing a semi-speaker grow, dont really know the specs of the box, but its got plenty of growing room before you might need to start thinking about combining two of the same speaker boxes or building one yourself.. or if you have money buy a box or something..

but anyway heres my setup, very simple, on the opposit end of a pro.. but shit it works.. i only have 2 42watt cfl's (more to come) and using the dull side of some foil to reflect the loss of light inside a wooden box (wood doesnt do too well in reflecting light, looks more like it absorbs it) but anyway one thing ive learned about growing, the most important thing to me is planning ahead.. heres my pics, goodluck

one more thing: do your research, then ask questions..

yes, here's a tip: ... try READING the threads here in the forums ... there are literally hundreds of answers for your questions ... some research "before" you start a grow will always pay off ... flip back thru the pages, lots of good info that has been passed by with time ... good luck, and good hunting ... :smokin:

dooner, youll learn something new with each thread ull read....

read alot of the CFL grow logs since your setup is basically the same as everyone elses cab+cfl grow...

i 2 and using CFLs and i have 2 plants about the same age as yours, fill me in on what the inside looks like, u got good ventilation, u want your box to be replenished every 3 mins with clean fresh air

fans inside that constantly sway the stem and leaves around will make it alot stonger therefore when you begin LST you wont be snapping stems and such

with my set up i think ill be doing a Scrog which is a screen on green, look it up, your canopy is even with the screen, so therefore wont get much higher than it, bud grow right in the holes and it keeps all the fan leaves from hogging all the light

CFL grows are more and more common for the individual grower, look it up there is some good ass thread on the board
