Smell=potency?

Sup fellas, ya i tend to smell the weed as an indication of the potency it has. For example i've been sold on some great lookin pot that really didnt have that stink to it but i was persuaded by the look of it. Just wondering how many of you think that the smell has a correlation to the potency of the weed? :rasta:

Smell does play a small role in trying to analyze how good marijuana is, and so does looks. But dont base your decision on just the smell. I had some shit that smelled like horse shit that flipped me out, I also had some weed that smelled like herbs and spices and was very good, also had some weed that smelled like a straight up skunk and sucked ass. So I just dont base my decision on how potent marijuana is by the smell, most of the time I just look at it. But no matter how much you look or smell, nothing can tell you how good weed is like a good ol' smoke test :).

Yea my main dealer, whos a fucking idiot re-uped on bud based on the way it looked and smelled the other day. I called him for bud and he wont even sell it to me because he knows I only want the goods and he says the taste and the high sucks. Smell, looks and color really have very little to do with potency, it just means the guy knew how to cure his buds properly.

So far I've never had great looking/smelling weed be bad, and I've never had shitty looking weed be good. Well...maybe once, but it was mostly leaves, the actual bud did look good.

So far, it's worked for me, maybe the day will come when it won't.
