Well here we are back for more. new cabinet, new seeds, new knowledge gained from the first grow. Right now there's 3 Neville's haze hybrid (nevilles x jack herer) from female seeds vegging. Took 2 days to germinate and 1 more to break the soil. Set up is a C-22 with a 400watt HPS, 265cfm dayton squirrel cage fan, CFL side lighting, in Fox farms Ocean forrest soil. The plan for this is to make it as easy as possible. No transplanting or anything like that. I'm thinking veg for 2-3 weeks then 12/12 for another 10-12 weeks. it's going to be a test of patience but i have high hopes.(no pun intended...ok maybe a little...) Will have pics of set up and seedlings soon.

Hey sorry for the lack of updates been pretty busy over the last week or two. All 3 plants are looking great and growing nice and uniform and quick. They're almost 2 weeks old now and about 7-8" tall going on their 5th set of leaves. Pics will come very soon.

Finally an update with some pics!! The plants are all 17 days old now and will go into 12/12 on Saturday after 3 full weeks of 18/6. Zero problems so far it looks like I gotta few different phenotypes too. The two with thinner leaves already smell nice and skunky but the more indica looking one just smells like a plant. No nutes or anything yet just plain water. Once it goes 12/12 then we'll probably start with nutes once a week till some buds form. Let me know what you think so far!!:stoned:

How'd you get them that big in 17 days?

10-17-2006, 10:38 PM
haha hey rebel i just posted to you in the other thread. here's the answer to your ?s from there.
The plants are in 3 gallon pots, and are in Fox farms ocean forrest soil straight out of the bag. As for lighting its a 400w hps with 2 26w cfls right above the plants that will be used for side/under lighting once the plants are big enough. I don't know if it's genetics or the soil but these plants are moving along nicely. What kind of seeds you growin and under what lighting and soil? Are you growing in a cab??

So here's another update. went out of town for a week and when i came home i was very suprised to see what happened while i was away. After only 1 week of 12/12 the plants had all basicaly tripled in size. The last pics posted are from the day before it went to 12/12 and here they are now. Plants are 31 days from sprout and 10 days into 12/12. Please comment or feel free to ask any questions.

How did you go about installing your fans and light? Did you have to use an electric saw to make the holes for them, and then glue them in?

Another update 35 dayz old and 2 weeks into 12/12. 2 plants have shown female and the other hopefully won't be too far behind it. I think one of these is trying to hermie on us. had little balls in 4 spots on the main stem so we pinched them off and haven't seen anything similar since. I've read that most female seeds strains have that happen once in a while but if you get rid of the first few they usually don't continue or come back. Still stretching a bit hopefully that slows down in the next week or so. here's some pics. Ane to answet your ? topflight we used a jigsaw to cut the holes and then just 1 1/2" sheet rock/wood screws. anything with a coarse thread should work. Let me know what ya think. peace

They look very healthy; good lighting, good ventilation, healthy plants - I foresee a rosy future and a bountiful harvest for you. Looks like you're keeping the smaller plant in the middle to help it catch up to the same size as the others? Or did it just come out that way? Either way...good plan! ;)

i think the middle is where the light is its weakest but not really sure.. anyway really nice grow and the set up is awsome im gonna try sumthin simmilar in my 2nd grow keep up the good work peace

the light shine from the light is a round pattern, the plants are following it, the middle being the strongest, their for its not stretching as much as the outside ones since they are on the out edges of the round reflection coming from the light
you have a great setup C13 and C22 grows are my dream, looks like you have a grow where you dont have to worry about lack or lighting, lack of heat exhaustion, would like to see a hydro grow out of you
how are your temps anyways, do you have a thread about your C22 anywhere, id like to check it out in detail, good job man you hav become a subscribed thread :) LMK about the C22

They look great and seems to be growing like weeds. I have a few questions for you as I plan on using this strain for my first grow. I noticed you started your seedlings in Ocean Forest, I read that this can kill them; did they have any problem at all with this? Where did you get the CFL's? Did you get these seeds from seedboutique.com feminized? And how tall will they end up being?
Mnoutdoorz
11-08-2006, 09:04 PM
turbo joe- temps are at about 78-84 right now. I'll post soon with pics and complete details on the cab for ya.
entheogens- never a single problem with any of fox farms products. cfls=walmart like 7 bucks for a 3 pack. one phenotype is reaching for the sky and almost to the very top of the cab. the other 2 are probably about 3 feet tall now. All 3 show hairs and one had 4 balls show up and the other small one had about 20. picked all of them off and nothing seems to be coming back so hopefull they're over it. the big one is 100% woman. Yes seeds ordered from seed boutique
Plants are looking lovely just started fox farm's tiger bloom and big bloom half strength for now. Budsites are appearing everywhere and even some trichs. pics soon thanks for all the compliments!

Another update started some lst'ing last night but it's a little too late for the biggest one. It's so tall now no matter which way you pull it it's still hitting the top. Other than that everything is looking good they seem to be liking their nutes and everything else. Will another update after the weekend. Peace out

I'm 70 days into flower with my Nevilles Haze. Mine was also feminized from Female Seeds. I put it into flower after 12 days of veg. That's 2 days germinating and then into dirt. After 12 days under a high intencity floros she was less than 5 inches tall with 4 or 5 nodes. Real short and stocky.
I have two Hawaiian Snow, 3 Black Pearl, one Kali Mist and 2 Masterkush going as well. I figured as long as the HS and KM will take to finish I may as well throw in a Nevilles Haze and see how long it takes.
After one week she was at about 8 to 10 inches and covered with buds. Not much branching but damn she's got one sweet fat cola. Yesterday I checked the trichs on a leaf about mid way down the cola and they were about 80%+ cloudy with some light amber. This seems like a rather short flower cycle for NH but it's very close to time to harvest this babe. I generally don't let them go long once the amber begins to show in the trichs... not much for couch lock stones.
She's thick with trichs and the smell is outstanding... very unique.
Not sure how long I really want to let he go. She's still showing a majority white hairs and lots of new flowers so I'm really suprised how cloudy the trichs are at only 10 weeks. I'm also supprised at how little branching I got but then 12 days of veg isn't much.
The interesting thing between your grow and mine is the veg time. This should be a good lesson for those with limited space and wanting to grow a large sativa. A really short veg time can still give you a very manageable size with outstanding results. By the way the yard stick was put there to show the size. It's a few inches taller and fatter now. This was taken at day 51 of flower and we're at day 70 now.
Can't wait to dry and cure this babe. With luck she'll kick butt.

Well another update plants are now getting full strength nutes once or twice a week and loving it. Haven't seen any balls in a week or so so i think the ones that were doing that have got it out of their system. The stretch seems to be slowing on the two outside plants and the one in the middle seems to be done stretching. the one in the middle is my favorite out of the three. nice dense nugs forming tons of trichs and a killer dank smell. Gotta lovely little package in the mail the other day. Now added to the "to grow" list is Mk-ultra, Romulan, Blockhead, and nlx. but those will all have to wait cause next grow is Nirvana's Papaya and Master Kush. here's some pics of the plants...

Hey dirtbag nice looking buds ya got there. Did you give her the chop yet? what Master kush you growing? And how's Black Pearl I've had my eye on that strain for a couple of years now. Blaqlight thanks for the kind words and i hope your grow brings you a bountiful harvest of sugary buds. Speking of sugary budz here's some bud shots. let me know what ya think everyone. About 6 weeks by my guess left since I figured about a 10 week flower time.

Your plants are budding beautifully Mnoutdoorz :p . I will be here reading every update  . We have something in common, my next grow also has the Papaya from Nirvana strain in it . I have seen it grown before on a different site and that grower (growign for 10+ years) told me that it was the most potent bud that he ever grew or smoked :p . I had to buy me some of the seeds after I heard that, I also saw a Papaya grow here on this site were the grower called Papaya " Crack on a stick." I'm hoping Papaya does us welll  . My current grow is on day 23 and the strain is Top44 which is an Indica so my grow will be done before yours. But we can still compare are Papaya plants as they grow if we start about the same time. Keep Em Growing Mnoutdoorz :D ...

I don't think very well but I know that your plants/grow is on the right track and headed in the right direction. I can see you driving that big train  , looks like you are have a great time. You said ealier that "stretch seems to be slowing" and will all know what happens after that. Buds get really fat and stems start to break :p , keep on the look out for that, LOL. Keep Em green MN...

Reminds me of the sativa plants we grew from So. American bag seed around 35 years ago. One of our friends was an agriculturalist/head. He grew some wicked wheelchair weeds.
Very nice grow!

Mnoutdoorz I just finished with the hanging and drying of my Nevilles Haze.
I smoked some small buds from the bottom of the plant as I was preping the rest for cure. All I can say is I hope yours is as nice as mine. Absolutely no paranoia at all... just a very smooth very soring high. Can't wait for this stuff to cure. It'll be unbelieveable.

Wow dirtbag I hope mine is as good as yours too! I hope you're enjoying the fruits of your labor. Well here's another update about 6 1/2 weeks into 12/12.
had a little bit of a problem the plants didn't seem like they were getting everything they needed from the nutes. After some research i learned that we had made a simple mistake of storing the nutes in an area where they would get over 80F degrees. This is not a good thing for organic nutes so they went bad. after being flushed for a week the plants are on a new mix of Pure Blend Pro Soil, liquid karma, and sweet. I'm really liking these nutes so far they mix up to a lower more cannabis friendly ph than Fox farms products. FF big bloom and tiger bloom were mixing up to around 6.5 ph while the botanicare PBPS and liquid karma mix up to right around 6.0. the sweet gets fed on it's own with no other nutes in the water. I'm also planning on flushing for one week with sweet then the last with just water. here's some pics.

Some bud pics. these things are just coated with resin now. the tall one on the right is showing some cloudy trichs so I may start flushing her at the end of this week and take her down at 9 weeks. the other two are still all clear trichs. All 3 plants have a kinda lemony citrus skunk smell to them. I can't wait to smoke it. Enjoy.

Thanks keeko. My middle plant is looking a little more indica dom than the other two for sure. but is has the most trichs of all of them. How long have you have them going? Sorry for lack of updates it's a busy time of year. The plants are all living their new nutes and the big lady on the right has been flushed for the last week with on more to go. The plant in the middle will start flushing tomorrow and taking it down in 2 weeks right at 10 weeks of 12/12. The plant on the left is looking to be pretty pure sativa. hardly any cloudy trichs and the buds are just starting to finally swell. I'm guessing it's going to be at least a 4 more weeks for that one. will have harvest pics next week.
