Allright so i was thinkin about this today cuz i'm in school for automotive engineering in a class were we were talking about new fuel options and of course i was ripped so the first thing i thought about was weed!

but seriously if they can make biofuel out of corn and soybean by grinding them down to the oil. Well i've touched corn plants before and there not even close to being oily like a nice mj plant so wouldn't the plant produce a lot more oil then corn or soy and therefore be a better alternative...

I did a google search and didn't come up with much but i found this site.

http://www.ambergriscaye.com/BzLibrary/trust512.html

I don't know how reliable this source is but if what it says is true about how oil companys pushed for making cannabis illeagal thats crazy.

I want to hear other people's oppions is it all bs or is there some huge under lying conspiracy involving cannabis and the worlds oil supply... and who knows how far that one goes * caugh 911*

From what I hear, Willy Nelson has one of the only buses on the planet that run on hemp oil.

Using hemp as a natural resource would be the way to go, but oil is back gold and there is no way in hell Mr. Bush or whoever, is going to give that all up. For one, anyone can grow hemp, and it's very easy to grow. Hell, it grows all over America naturally with help from nothing or no one. Seeing as that anyone can grow it, where would the money be made? Oil would be obsolete, and everyone would be growing hemp. The profits from oil would dissapear, and in the US and Canada, that is a multi billion a year company. You think politicians and government is going to give that up?! No fucking way!

I personally would like to see hemp as a natural resource in our world, but it will never happen. All cars and vehicles would have to changed completly to work with a new fuel. As a mtter of fact, everything that uses oil as a natural resource would have to change to use hemp oils. That kind of transformation could cost companies billions, easily.

They want it illegal because they know they will lose billions of dollars, and they will. Money seems to be the #1 resource in major, stable countries. If they would maybe think of the future instead of now, things may change, but hey, what do they care, they'll be dead by the time the world goes to shit anyways.

yup. it's a billion dollar crop. if it was legal it would destroy the oil company's/Clothing lines/and paper mills. there wouldn't be the need for cutting down tree's or searching for gold mine oil spots in the sea sucking up all of earths natural resources.

hemp has over 10,000+ uses last time i was reading about it. and that's the only reasons why i think it's still illegal to this day. so if people like paying $3.50 a gal for gas instead of something like possibility $0.89 a gal then by golly pay that much

It's very possible to use hemp as an alternative to other fuels. . . .

The HEMP CAR (http://www.hempcar.org/) toured America and Canada doing over

13000 miles on 600 Gallons of hemp fuel. . . .

There are many arguments both for and against the use of Hemp as an

alternative source or energy,, but will anything Ever come of it ? ? ?

If we could get people to stop making stupid arguments against it's use

then we could at least start looking forward to it's future. . . .

It would be great to see it happen some day,, but HERE (http://www.erowid.org/plants/cannabis/hemp/hemp_info3.shtml) are just some of

the arguments people use to try block any further development. . . .

It has been proven to be economically feasible,, so it is a workable idea

But society needs to accept the facts before any progress will be made. . . .

Check out time4hemp (http://www.time4hemp.com/) to read some real truth's or just google "hemp for fuel"

to read thousands of reasons why it should be used as an alternative source of energy. . . . :smokin:

Best of luck. . . .

Peace. . . .

Hemp oil is ineffecient for a large combustion engine like a car but it has SOO many other great uses. Its good for smaller engine though and it owns cotton when it comes to making clothing. Things made from hemp are also really strong and last for a long time considering its a natural fiber.

hey thanks for those links notech

this shit has just got me really depressed now..

thinking that hemp could have revoltionized things. I mean look at all the problems oil fucking causes. World pollution, wars, all of us paying out our ass at the pump. Rich people getting richer, impearl oil pulling a 44 billion dallor profit last year. its all fucking bullshit and theres shit all to do about it. To think that if only hemp had been leagel 100 years ago everything would be different.

To say biodesiel is nowere close to as powerful as oil is just ignorent in my oppion. Oil has been used since the 1800's to power things and its because it was the simplists way at the time. It took us a 100 years of invotating to come up with the some what fuel effience engines we have now. you can't say that biodesiel cant stand a chance to oil when nowere nere the time in R&D has been spent on it for it to compete with oil equaly. The problem is all these rish company's like impearl oil won't let that happen. I mean i see it at my school to me i think as an engineer right now in the worlds situation an alternative for oil is a must. Clean up the world stop all the shit. But i know what reasearch my proffs are working on for General motors and other automotive comanpies and none of it is fuel. We here a lot of talk about hydrogen cells but the oil companys know that a resource that requires everyone to get a new car is not one they have to be worried about. Something like biodesiel were with slight modification to exsisting combustion engines you could make bio work, now that worries the oil companys and thats were the research should be taking place but isn't.

i guess i shouldn't be as bothered as i am right now but i just can't help but feel pissed off. i'm was seriously thinkin that i'm glade i'm going to die in 50 years or so i sadly think that shit like this will keep happening, ppl will keep making choices based on how it benifits them at the time and not the bigger picture, it won't stop until ppl have no reason to be greedy and how will that happen...

i'm gonna smoke a J and calm down now sorry for ranting but fuck!

We get one world and this is how we choose to use it. It blows my mind as well.

I completly forgot about hemp being using as paper goods and clothing and such. It has endless uses.

yea since your saying that you must not know much about biodesiel you have obiously never read into anything about bidesiel if its not good with big engines then why are race teams using biodesiel fuels? This drag car has nearly 1000hp running on biodesielhttp://www.greencarcongress.com/2005/01/b100_dragster.html

^^that dragster is intense i didnt know they had done anything like that with biodesiel allready..

thanks for proving my point more though that if a few people can pull that off with just a bit of money and indepent research think of what a multi billion dallor government could do.

About three weeks ago, I got a chance to meet the Governor of Pennsylvania, Ed Rendell. I gave the Governor an autographed copy of my book about the history of the hemp industry in Pennsylvania, Hempstone Heritage.

The Governor is very much into alternative fuels. He would like to make Pennyslvania the Saudi Arabia of America when it comes to various forms of alternative energy, including biodiesels. I told the Governor that no plant on earth has more biomass per acre than certain strains of hemp thus making it the perfect crop for biodiesel. He said "Hey, we're all for that." He thanked me for the book and seemed geuinely appreciative. We shook hands.

I don't know if the Governor actually took the time to read my book or not and I don't know if he will push for hemp or not but the point is - we have this knowledge. It is up to those who know to teach others who do not know. We have to take it off the cannabis boards and get active and start to educate in our communities. I know that some of you already do this. For all of you, continue to do more of this. For those of you who don't - get educated and then start educating. If you already are educated on the issues then start spreading the word. We each do what we can in our own ways but the point is to each of us do what we can do.

The issues are too important. The stakes are too high. We need to get our lives in order and then press forward. Life is more important than TV and I hate to tell this to many of you but life is more important than the buzz too. The times are calling for sacrifice from this current generation and we better start doing it or the only real cahnge that we will notice is that things will go from very bad to drastically worse. The change starts with ourselves but we definitely want the world to change also.

The Living God of the Universe holds our fate in His hands and we need to trust Him. God will honor us if we honor Him. You will find that my posts have a common theme that I will constantly bring us back too and that is to honor and glorify God. Then and only then will things be right with us. You may not think that this has anything to do with biodiesel and hemp as a fuel source and I admit that I have strayed a bit but it does have complete relevance. Hemp should be legal again so that it can reach the fullest height of all it's positive potentials. We need to MAKE THIS HAPPEN. Get started and make it so!
