found some plants outside in the wild? what do I do?

I found some plants....not sure if it is wild hemp or someone's attempt at growing. How can I tell? can anyone offer any pictures in order to help me differentiate? thanks.:thumbsup:

Wild hemp is just that; hemp. It's not going to get you high.
Otherwise, you've just found someone's summers work. Smile to yourself that someone pulled off a guerrilla grow, and leave it undisturbed.

as far as i can tell it isn't planted with any plan or design and there are only a couple of plants...so it is either meant to look random by design or it is truly random and wild. I just want to know how to tell the difference.

You won't be able to tell just by looking at it unless you're some sort of expert, and even then it would be hard. There are so many strains of cannabis and 'hemp' cannabis that even experienced growers have a hard time pinpointing a strain.

That's one reason they don't legalize hemp farming...cuz the cops can't tell either. But one clue is that if the buds are covered with sticky resin, chances are you'll get high.

But then there's the whole "Karma" thing. I'd recommend not touching it.

Thank you... that is the first straight answer I feel I've received. I understand the whole karmic, moral quandary regarding taking someone elses weed. But if it is that hard to actually tell, then there may be no other way than to smoke it to find out if its real shit.

I think you missed the whole point.

Follow the logic here:

If you smoke it and it turns out to be real, you have already crossed the line of taking someone's crop.

If you smoke it and it turns out to be ditch weed, you get a headache.

Either option is bad; therefore, don't bother.

Keep an eye on the sight, if there someones plant they will be visiting the area. Lets say for a minute that it is bud, keep an eye on it and when it looks ready to harvest leave it a few days, if its still there then its yours else its just gonna go to waste.

in nz its just like that if ur plants get found thats your problem for putting them somewhere where they could be found...

Hey bro if you need fertilizer all you need to do is do what I do xD
Go around your neiborhood and look for pots and plants and stuff.. they usually have fertilizer with them xD and umm.. take them.. but what i do is i go out for a walk in the day looking for pots and stuff to see if i can find some.. and then at night i go and get them around 1 a.m. but thats kinda illegal or what ever.. but i still do it .

I agree with folks who said you should go ahead and harvest some if they become ready and no one has done so.

Lots of us weed-friendly folks purposely scatter some of our extra seeds in semi-secluded places in the hopes that they will grow and someone will happen upon them and enjoy!

Was talking to a friend of mine yesterday.....long time stealth grower. She told me about the time she found someone's outdoor grow.....she went through and picked all the males....which were near pollinating.....lined all the males up nicely on the edge.....and left. I told her she takes the prize.:D
