Okay so this summer was absolute madness. Smokin everyday usually twice a day. In the beginning of the summer, it was cool I had low tolerance and everything, so I got ripped off a little bit. As the school year approached, once in awhile I'd get depressing highs or depressing come downs. This school year has just been depressing, so I've decided to take a break til New Year's. That's right no more bud. I think it will get my tolerance back down and save a lot of cash. Some of the cash I'll use to buy an o at New Years. When I get through that I'll wait til May or so to start smoking a lot. I think this will help prove to myself and others that: A. I'm not a stoner or a burn out, just a guy who likes to toke once in awhile. B. I can stop whenever I want to. C. I can go a long time without herb.

This decision has been a tough one, but most of the people I smoke with are taking this road too. I also fear that weed is fucking with school. I want to get in a good college, so I'll take a break and focus on my work. On the weekends I'll go to more parties and be more of a drinker. I think I'll be able to make it pretty easily because weed is not addictive, but I will be tempted.

Yea for sure, its always nice to take a break just to know you can live without it. Today I stopped till the end of the month due to a drug test.

And just think, that one time you smoke again after your break how rewarded/high itll be =). Have a good one.

Taking a break is much easier when you find something else to do.
Whether it be a hobby, a good book series, a new girl, w/e,
it's always better to have something to keep you from thinking too often.

 I'ts been so dry this side of the year that i don't really care if I smoke or not. I used to get clammy hands before when I was free, that problem is all gone now. It's important that one dosen't get stessed. Cannabis is adictive to the brain and soul and not ones body. Chill:thumbsup:

Dude i am all for you doing what you want but dont do it to 'prove' anything to others. it doesnt matter what they think about you smoking. Its not cool to judge people any way.

Good for you! You can totally do it, and way to go on thinking about your future!

My break will be starting soon, but I won't be toking at all this weekend (going to my parents for Thanksgiving), and after that I am planning to taper off in prep for Christmas...

man i remember once when i got on probation, i quit smoking and at first i thought i was gonna die. one of my buddies that was already on probie told me that alcohol was going to take on a new found meaning, i didnt believe him at first seeing as how i wasn't a very big fan of drinking. but let me tell you, he was right! ever since then weed went on the back burner and boozin has become my true passion! so im gonna say the same thing to you, DRINK!

Then theres the question of.. whats wrong with the consistant use of a miracle drug that does virtually no harm, leads to no serious addiction (reliance on a drug), and has no potential for overdose? We brush our teeth every night, pot really doesent do much more harm. I think as long as you chose to smoke every time, and you dont *have* to smoke youre good.
