Ill be the first to say it - YES. Sadly, the state the world is in at the moment, its best we all get sent back to simpler times and 99% of the population is wiped out. Its the only way we can end these ridiculous laws, the poverty, and the endless oppression. Now Im not one of these 'Jesus Freaks' that wants the apocalypse to come around - far from it - I just think that a massive war is the only way that we can live in peace. A clean slate. Hopefully, the only people that will survive are the tribes that live deep in the jungles and rainforests of the Earth. Come to think of it, these people will be able to survive easily. They have never seen TV, radio or modern technology, so they wont miss it in the least. They have survived centuries without it, and this is how we should be living - a simple life, at one with nature.
We need a nuclear war so - war is one of the few things that truly bring people together. My gran was telling me the other week that after WW2, everyone grew their own food. Nobody stole any of it, even though it was in short supply, because everyone understood their neighbours needs were as great as their own. Ask for food, and you would be fed. It was a caring, loving, sharing community, and sadly war is one of the few disasters that creates this love for total strangers.
We desperately need a fresh start, and a nuclear disaster is the only thing that will teach us a lesson. Hopefully, we would be able to live in peace for ever after.
Edit: bugger, just realised this is in the wrong section. Could a mod please move it to the appropriate secion? Cheers and love :)

No, I would not want most of the world destroyed by nuclear war. That's the same thing that the extremist Islamists, like bin laden, want. They think that allah will then start over, putting them in charge.
Additionally, if most of the population were destroyed, there would be so much fallout that it would be impossible to live.
I would rather see the human race not procreate, and die off with dignity - leaving the animal kingdom a chance to produce intelligent life in the future that is, well, "intelligent". This is called the "Voluntary Human Extinction Movement". http://www.vhemt.org/
"May we live long and die out"
"Phasing out the human race by voluntarily ceasing to breed will allow Earth's biosphere to return to good health. Crowded conditions and resource shortages will improve as we become less dense."
By remaining child-free, you can help achieve this goal.

Eh, no nuclear war for me. I don't think the world is perfect, but I'm not ready to write 99 percent of the world's population off (via horrifying and gruesome deaths in a lot of cases). There's room for improvement, but I don't think all hope is lost. And I think we'll make it to other planets, or at least safely into space somewhere, before we're wiped out here on Earth. I'd rather get some of our eggs out of this single basket we currently have than blow up the basket with all our eggs still in it.

Howdy BA,
Lord have mercy ! Just when I thought humans couldn't git any nuttier-You tell us of the VHEMT movement..boy howdy !
I believe, that humans have a duty to not only survive, but to reach out and colonize the Solar System,we can become stewards of the Earth and it's animal and plant life, don't give up yet !
As for my Christian take on this, none can force the Hand of God to invoke Armegeddon or the Rapture,no matter how many islamo-fascists or commies, that we nuke.
Have a good one ...

That happens every day in this country, without murdering 6 billion people.

Maybe you should check out North Korean Government employment opportunities ?

actually, there is a book written by stephen king that basically describes this its called "the stand"
He's totally right. I remember those good 'ol days, before governments were instituded among men. What with the raping, pillaging, and zero-health care.
But hey, who's keeping track.

I think nuclear war would be bad for consumer spending, especially travel and tourism.
