Hi there, I've set up a budbox and the temps are getting a bit too high so I think the best way to go would be to get a cool tube. Recently I bought a 4 inch fan/filter but now that I'm in the market for a cool tube, they all seem to be 5 or 6 inches! Would it be ok to just use my 4 inch fan with this cool tube, I could duct-tape my existing ducting on there somehow: http://www.basementlighting.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?page=1/PROD/RE6

I know there are guides and I could make my own but I'm useless at all that stuff. Anyway, any thoughts?

This is a 6" cooltube with a 1000 watt, being pulled by a 4" fan. It is sufficient enough, but we are finding how important it is to correctly route your ducting. 90 degree hard elbows seem to make a difference. The closet is fed by another 4" fan.

it took me some time to get the bugs out with the venting no turns sriaight runs i use 2 4" fans 1 push 1 pull and it keeps 3 600s perfect

having such a large cool tube serves for what purpose!
having a vertical lamp on a horizontal grow serves what purpose!
with all cool tubes it best not to reduce the flow by fitting under powered fans! it would defeat the object of having the cool tube in the first place!
the 6 inch tubes are for 600 watts or more the 5 inch 125 mm is for 250's or 400's ,the difference ,,,,,the bigger lamps NEED the extra cooling!!,,,eg, bigger extractor larger tubes!
i would invest in a 650 meter cubed RVK inline extractor to match a 6 inch cool tube and a 600 watt bulb! keep it horazontal if thats the way the grow is set up! side light sucks, and are only good as supplementary light for trees!
use the lamps canopy penetration to penetrate the canopy!
good luck
