i think it would be better if we planned a day to stand up for our selves, and get everyone involved. ther are more smokers than non smokers. all we have to do is voice our oppinions as one unit.

united we stand, divided we fall, we the people, my fellow americans...

make if legal

I just saw a documentary on how marijuana was illegalized in the first place. Mostly, it was due to the unwanted immigration of mexicans to the US. So then this douchbag polictician Anslinger made all these propoganda movies about how reefer will make you kill your parents and go crazy. GOD, you'd think with all the evidence pointing to the fact that marijuana is 100x more beneficial than not. In fact, i cant think of a bad part of marijuana, its a miracle medicine. So why in our modern society, do we keep this bullshit law prohibiting such a harmless plant?

Because the legalization of marijuana would be a economic issue, government would want to tax it and all that crap. Government would never do such a thing to legalize marijuana because then we would all simply grow it form our backyard and the goverment can't regulate it this way nor make money so therefore folks marijuana is not going to be LEGAL.

The thing is, people would be too lazy to grow their own shit when they could buy it at a store. Look at tabacco, anyone can grow that shit in their backyard or closet, but nobody does. Why? cuz its a hastle when you can just run down to the corner store and buy a pack for a few bucks. Plus, they are going to put a tax on cigarettes, if they havent already, but i dont expect people to go on a shopping spree for tabacco seeds. Within the first few years of legalization, obviosly some people will grow their weed. But after a decade or 2, it will just be like cigarettes, in that it will be a bought item, not home grown. thats my opinon, cuz me and all the stoners i know would most definatly rather buy the shit than grow it :rasta: :stoned:

Very true... while i love growing my own stash it would be so much faster to just go down the street to the gas station and pick up a carton of 20 or so joints (wouldnt that be fucking sweet)

You know, I occasionally hear about certain days where EVERYONE who supports a certain issue takes the day off work, leaves school, gets out of their houses, all at a certain time, and starts protesting.
Why don't we talk to NORML or something, and plan something 6months from now? Get it REALLY publicized, so EVERYONE knows, get ALL of the stoners riled up, get someone to make a speech about how we are being oppressed needlessly...
i dunno, just a thought. Mainstream culture tends to look down upon us smokers, people would be afraid to support the cause, afraid of any repercussions with family or jobs i'm guessing...
But really, if we never stand up for what we beleive in... why beleive at all?

I wouldn't want weed to be legalized. . . imo, bottom line is it's a drug, not everyone is responsible the way a lot of us here are, and ENOUGH idiots would get their hands on it and cause problems either for other people or themselves.

Plus, for me, it would take all the fun away from growing and blazing. My favorite part is being so sneaky. :D

As Governor Ventura said, "you can't regulate stupidity". Enough idiots get ahold of weed right now and the sky hasn't fallen, yet those same idiots can go get shitfaced on booze, making them more out of control than they already are. What does it being legal have to do with that?

I hate to ruin your "favorite part" but given a choice between not 800,000 lives ruined a year or making sure you get your sneaky rocks off I'll take the former every time.
