y dont people just line cabnet with mirrors instead of foil and mylar and white paint.
cuz u cld go to the thrift store and pick up some huge cheep mirrors.

How heavy and cheap are the mirrors? Cause I paid less than $5 bucks for a gallon of flat white paint and still have half left over. I painted a decent sized room too.
I don't think mirrors are a good idea for growing :(

Mirrors cause hotspots (and can thereby cause fires), and don't reflect as much light as Mylar or flat white paint. As someone who had to stand outside half-naked in the cold last winter watching my home burn to the ground, trust me when I tell you that it is not a pleasant experience. (Although my fire had nothing to do with growing...fortunately!)

thats what i wanted to know.
i didnt realise they cause hotspots, that answer is good enough for me and all i needed to hear.

No, they didn't, as there was none at the time, fortunately. I assume they did find a couple of pipes and a can full of stems and seeds, but no one ever said anything about it, and it was probably the contractor guys who cleaned out the house who found that stuff anyway. I do keep fire extinguishers around now, as I'm definitely much more paranoid about fires now that I've lived through one.
